Two teams on Atherton's schedule have winning records. The remainder have 3 wins among them. Woodford's district foes all would beat Atherton head to head.

Isn't this the year that X and Manual's district is sister district with T and Ballard? So if Manual were to beat X in regular season, we get T and X 2nd round?

35-14 Douglass. Those Redhound twins are long gone to UK, and thanks to QB Jayden Guzman, the Broncos now have a vertical passing attack for the first time in a few seasons. Very interested to see the Corbin defensive alignment in the 1st quarter. Will they respect the pass, or will they stack the box and risk getting shredded through the air?

More like looking like an undefeated, RPI #1 seed. Unless your Tigers run the table, then you all will be the #1 RPI.

I have always felt rankings are based off results and pedigree. In those regards, sure maybe bump Douglass, Male and Ballard up over OC and MC. Degree of difficulty with scheduling, sure. For this 3 game season though, a 3 win team should be ahead of the winless one. A Broncos team with a limited offense hasn't proven themselves to be better than a Madison Central or Oldham. We couldn't score with the O in the first two games, and our current O needs a game or two to gel. By week 6, yeah we can start talking rankings.

T is far and away the favorite this year. Unless South Warren sneaks in the final 4. I really think the Spartans coaching staff would be able to come up with an outstanding game plan for a playoff game against Trinity. For Douglass to be ranked, 6A must really be shallow. At this point of the season, Oldham Co. and Mad. Cent should at least be ahead of the Broncos.

Do you think it benefits you all more, or BG more, that you played in the regular season? With both teams aiming at winning the 5A crown, playing early gives BG 1st person experience, and film to use in case the two schools meet in the playoffs. Maybe BG plays someone else who runs a Wing T, I don't know, but actually playing you guys takes away that element of surprise and/or confusion that teams endure in the 1st half playing you guys. IDK, could be wrong.

Male is absolutely a blueblood. Coaching, D1 players, destination school that parents figure out a way for their kid to attend. Even when they are down you STILL are worried about playing them. When have they ever NOT been a relevant threat to win state in high school football?

56-7 Douglass. Tates Creek O and D-lines are their weaknesses. Broncos finally get in the win column.

Manual came off their bus ready and focused this morning. Broncos were not. Manual is definitely talented, but they are limited. Good luck on their season. Douglass finally has a QB that confidently throws the ball and puts the ball in receivers hands. If Douglass doesn't score over 40 points against Tates Creek, that's on the staff!

Manual punted to start the game on 4th and 1. Douglass had a 3 and out. Manual scored on a 40 yard pass over the middle, and Douglass had another 3 and out. Early in the 4th, Manual socred on a long td run. The 1st two series for the Broncos were BAD. Team came out flat I think. Too predictable with play calling. Last night, the play calling was very good and varied . Backs against the wall, the OC had no choice but to pass. Finally giving freshman QB Guzman a chance to show the arm that Douglass has not had in 6-7 seasons, the Broncos had some good gains and Guzman hit Kane Bell- Pointer over the middle. Manual had some failed 4th down tries and Douglass had one last drive with a minute left. They drove from their 7 yard line to about the Crimson 15 or so, and had one last heave in the endzone but Terry Cayson dropped it (would have been out of bounds).

Its up to the coaches. Most likely, Corbin wanted to escape with the W. If both coaches/ADs can't come to an agreement, game ends with the score as it was. Plus being 4A vs 6A, they wanted those RPI points, I'm sure. If they were in the same class, there would likely be a different decision that was reached.
