Final I assume Frankfort forfeited. Does anyone have any info? I know I watched Paris and Frankfort on the 22nd and they were very weak and did not have but about 25 players.

Does anyone know if this was just for last Friday or are they packing it in for the season?

Frankfort has a roster of 19-20 kids, 11 kids on the injured list Labor day Monday, 4-5 of those needed medical approval to return, few got banged up at practice during the week which left Frankfort with 13 willing to take a 2 hr drive to Williamsburg. I'm not 100% but, usually the yellow jackets do well when it comes to getting high school ready football players and The team Frankfort was going to send wasn't ready.

Frankfort cancelled this game 2.5 hours before kickoff on Williamsburg's homecoming....  Frankfort should be ashamed and held accountable.  Their High School and Middle School programs have become a joke.  The MS team played a game with 13 players earlier this season.  It's just a matter of time before they cancel on someone, leaving another team without a game.

I agree with everything you sayin but this... When safety is an Issue, I could careless about a homecoming and that's saying it nicely.

Did they not know until 2.5 hours beforehand that they couldn’t field a team? From the previous post it sounds like things were sketchy on Labor Day and never got better. I hope that at least they had notified Williamsburg of the potential to forfeit earlier in the week.

Some players were game day decisions, failing concussion test before getting on the bus, also parent were worried and held their kids out..

Listen, I understand all the animosity on the forfeit situation but when it comes to kids safety I can't stand behind making kids go and get slaughtered. Frankfort is really in a tough situation right now with losing kids and kids that are there not football players is rough. Football isn't a " hey anyone play football come sign up"  at least at the high school/ middle school level it isn't .

Williamsburg hasn’t played a full schedule since 2021. They have played 8-9 games during the regular season. Frankfort has dealt with low numbers all season and preseason. Hopefully things can get better and things if Frankfort can get back to normal. I miss seeing a competitive Frankfort team. Frankfort beat Williamsburg in a full game scrimmage last season. If Williamsburg wants to pick up another game I’m sure some of these teams after this weekend may have the same open date. But good luck and prayers for Frankfort players to get healthy. 

Hopefully, the players get better and it is nothing serious, but if the situation arises again this season, the decision should be made earlier in the week.  Player safety should always come first but relying on pregame concussion clearance to have enough players doesn't sound like the best plan.  Just cancel the game earlier and let them heal.

You aren't the only one who misses a competitive Frankfort team. Class A is much more competitive when the Panthers crack the top 10. This is the second forfeit in 3 years. Frankfort forfeited the Rock game in 2023. Hoping players return healthy and Frankfort gets back to playing good ball.

Sounds like Frankfort needs to go stand in the corner. I don't understand that statement at all.

Especially considering the reasoning behind the forfeit, I can't fathom a reason they should be "held accountable."

The whole thing is honestly a little scary.  They obviously had a good reason to cancel but should have known way before 2.5 hours prior to the game if that is when they canceled.  What is scary is a kid is not cleared at noon but holding out to hope he is cleared at 5:00.  There should be a window, depending on injury, where if an athlete is not cleared by then he is considered out.  I am thinking 24 -48 hours for concussion type injury.  Let’s not forget it is high school and these kids have a lot more in front of them.
