  1. Zane was 14/15 in the first Murray game. They were not going to let him beat them this time around. Murray actually sacked hime twice in the 2nd half at crucial times when the Cardinals were driving. But pick your poison!! Juju went off and that was the difference last night. I will say, Murray’s starters consist of 3 fresh, 3 soph, 1 Jr on defense. 3 fresh, 2 soph, 2 Jr on Offense. The 8th grade Oline averaged 6ft 250 lbs 3 are playing FBU. There is a lot of excitement in Murray but you have to develop the kids to continue to grow!
  2. Murray tried to hold on but the Cardinals were just too much! The game was 28-20 with 8 mins to go in the game. I don’t believe many were expecting a struggle tonight. Mayfield’s experience showed. Congrats to Mayfield!! Should be a great game next week vs LCA.
  3. Jones 1st varsity start at QB was 3 weeks ago vs Mayfield. This kid is an athlete but the Mayfield defense is fast and aggressive. He seemed to be confused for most of the game. Not sure how healthy Wilson is this week but he came in towards the end of the game in round 1. I would think Jones and Carman on opposites sides of the field would be there best offense. Then there is the Mayfield offense! They are putting up incredible numbers. Load the box to stop Starks and Dumas and they will beat you 1v1 on the outside with Morris & Biggers. Any one of their athletes can take it the distance on any given play. Cartwright has developed into a legit single caller. He will tear you apart if you give him time.
  4. Give me Sayre in a shoot out 42-35. Here is a state line for you: Sayre QB Luke Pennington thru 11 games: 137/197 (69.5%) for 2,081 yards. 42 TDs and ZERO Ints ?. I understand it's not top level competition, but this is impressive at any level!!! I may be wrong but Luke may be the only QB in the state without an interception on record this season.
  5. 247 Sports has catapulted Jeremiah to the #2 spot in KY for 2025 ?. Congratulations!!! Nebraska made an official offer yesterday. Jones list is now: Nebraska, Louisville, Murray State, Eastern KY. This list will grow soon. https://x.com/jj_jones333/status/1721356982894862730?s=20
  6. 5 points- Hart County 4 points- Belfry 3 points- Bullitt East 2 points- Union Co 1 point- KCD
  7. 5 point game- Woodford Co 4 point game- Simon Kenton 3 point game- Bishop Brossart 2 point game- Graves Co 1 point game- Ballard
  8. I heard it was going to happen either way. MC most likely gave the option. Coach Etheridge did a good job keeping that program going. It's a hard place to win at where there is lack of support. I will tell you though, they have some huge kids in MS and youth system moving forward. Good luck to Coach Etheridge as well.
  9. I say Union by two touchdowns. Don't know much about Greenwood but I have read, through BGP, that the Gators have been punished by physical teams. The only thing the Braves know how to do well, is be physical.
  10. Ryle St X Simon Kenton Scott County Union Co Bonus: Douglass, 62 points.
  11. If the question is intended for this year alone, I say YES. I have a hard time seeing them get beat by anyone in KY this year. If the question is intended overall, it a definite NO. The L'ville big 3 would all be above Boyle. 4A will be exciting to watch starting in the third round. Can't wait!
  12. Fort Campbell is #26 in 2A RPI. They will finish 5-5 and host a playoff game as #2 in District 2. OCath's district opponents will finish around 9-20. Mayfield's district opponents will finish 14-16. I believe the gap will close, just not sure if it will be enough to over take the #1 spot for the Cardinals.
  13. Cardinals are huge favorites coming in. They have ran through their schedule outside of the PT game. Starks seems like his old self in the last couple of games. Cartwright has been great distributing the ball to the playmakers. Their defense has been strong all year. Ohh, did I mention: speed kills!! Mayfield has fast kids all over the field. Murray seems like they can't get out of their own way. In the two loses, the Tigers have managed 10 turnovers. Union (3) Crittenden (7), respectively. Even the game vs McCracken, they still had 4 turnovers. Their defense have been playing well all year but has lived against the ropes all season long. Jones (ATH '25) had his first start at QB this past week and had a slow start. He looked well in the 2nd half on their way to a 27-7 win. Murray has given the Cardinals fits the last couple of years. Couple years ago, Tigers lost to Caldwell the week before beating the Cardinals. Could it happen again?? Mayfield is expected to win. I see this game being competitive as long as Murray doesn't turn the ball over. If the Tigers continue with their turnovers, it could get ugly quickly.
  14. Cooper Simon Kenton Ashland Hart Logan Co Campbellsville
  15. This will be running clock. Probably by half time. I saw Harrison Co in week 1 where the QB had 600+ of total offense or something like that. Kid is a solid player and no knock on him at all, but Harrison is no where near the top tier of their class. They have all ready doubled their wins from last season so I'd say they have had a successful season.
  16. Bowling Green Scott Co Glasgow Franklin-Simpson Simon Kenton
  17. During his visit yesterday, add L’ville to the mix. Congrats young man. https://x.com/jj_jones333/status/1711062533967134822?s=12
  18. Franklin Co Pike Co Central St Xavier North Laurel Fleming Co
  19. This field is loaded in the East. Tilghman looks to have an easy walk to semis. They should be 13-0 at that point.
  20. Highland Glasgow Trinity Boyd Co Woodford Co
  21. NO. RPI gets locked in after the regular season. Cross district games in round 1&2, RPI East/West in round 3, top 4 RPI in semis. IMO the only change I would make is make top 8 RPI in round 3 instead of dividing it to an east/west format like it currently is. This would ensure the best semis, state game.
  22. Can OCath hang on to 1st having probably the worst district in the state?? It's opponents and RPI will not help then in the coming weeks.
  23. Murray will put on a display after an unforeseen bye week. I'll take the Tigers 35-14
  24. This is very true! LCA will continue to bring talent. Brings another aged argument to the table: Private schools should have their own classification like most states do.
  25. This will be the first meeting between the Mustangs and the Tigers. McCracken (3-2) will wrap up their 2A district 1 schedule on Friday going 2-1 so far, respectively. They have beaten the teams they are expected to win and also lost to the teams they expected to lose. QB O'Neal has been driving this years success throwing 264 yards/game in wins while managing 105 yards/game in their losses. Murray (4-1) has done the same thing. They've beaten the teams they are supposed to beat and lost to a very solid Union team on a very unusual Saturday night. The Tigers have given up 113 yards/game passing through 4 games. Their game vs Fulton Co was a forfeit and not computed into the average. This is the first true test for the Murray secondary that boast 3 division 1 talents. McCracken will have the advantage in the trenches with size but they have not dominated as expected. Mustang defense is giving up 26 pts/game, the Tigers 17. It should be one of the better games in WKY this week.
