TheBearsFavoriteHat Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 I know we have a long way to go, but which one of the numbers in the grid is the important number?

The far right. Which it’s halfway cut off on my screen. But that’s the actual formulated number they’re ranked by. 1
TheBearsFavoriteHat Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Looking in to it more it becomes obvious that the last column is the one in order. But what are the other columns?

DearToday Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Rockcastle is 4-0 but 15th. Gotta up that schedule!
gchs_uk9 Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 This will obviously balance out with more games and more data, but compared to some other classes, this one isn’t awful.

TheBearsFavoriteHat Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 Potentially dumb question here. Do playoff games get factored in to RPI for later rounds?

That's a great question. Only regular season games are used and calculations end when all teams have completed play. 1

Which makes sense because you wouldn’t want to punish a team’s ranking when they can’t help who they are paired against in the playoffs. 1

RPI gets locked in after the regular season. Cross district games in round 1&2, RPI East/West in round 3, top 4 RPI in semis. IMO the only change I would make is make top 8 RPI in round 3 instead of dividing it to an east/west format like it currently is. This would ensure the best semis, state game. 2
