BluegrassPreps.com Class 5A Football Rankings (10/17)
FB Head replied to TheDeuce's topic in KY Football (High School)
Yes, I agree, FD is the most talented and should be the favorite for the 5A crown. BUT... we've been saying this over and over for the last four/five years. To me, they've been out coached in several important games during this span. 5A is the most fun to watch, anything can happen after the 2nd round. Will the Bronco's finally complete their run?? -
Mayfield at Murray Predictions/Updates
FB Head replied to snakesnot_2000's topic in KY Football (High School)
Murray's Xavier Biggers looks to be out this week due to the ejection. He is their game breaker and shut down corner. Fullback also looks to be out with a neck injury. Since the start, Murray's weakness clearly was depth and injuries have not been kind to them this year. Future is bright as 3 freshman start on defense and only 1 senior (maybe 2). As far as this Friday, the Cardinals will not let off the gas. I say Mayfield by 3-4 TDs. -

So, redshirt this year... Comeback and play next year as his 4th, and have an extra year as a Super senior!!! I see him in KY blue for the next 2 years. Coach Stoops better act quick -

The Irish have only played 4 games so far. Jacob can still red shirt this season and play a full year where ever he lands without losing eligibility. I personally don't like the portal but its that rules that are set in place. Good luck young man! -

PT has been hit/miss so far. I do think that their defense is coming together at the right time. I hope the offense doesn't give up on the run game as I have seen this season. Henry County has athletes all over the field so they will match PT in that regard. I do believe that the trenches will be in favor of the Patriots. Their new turf field is impressive and the atmosphere on Friday nights is one of the best in TN. I think it will be close... the Patriots are dealing with several injuries. I hope PT has enough in the tank to pull it off! FYI: this is what is being said on the other side of the state line: https://www.coacht.com/boards/index.php?/topic/267571-paducah-tilghman-henry-county/

Is 3rd & 4th round still RPI East/West Or is it state wide?
-
St X Ballard Pikeville Henderson Co Greenwood
-
Am I missing something? Ballard Memorial and Caldwell Co are not listed. They are in 2A District 1.
-
I'm sure Hendersonville is not going to be a .500 team at the end of the season. They lost to 6A #1 Oakland and 6A #4 Beech.
-
This will work itself out at the end. What I find interesting, If McClean Co goes undefeated, will they be #3 in RPI? I'm not smart enough to go through numbers and projections 😅 There will be a real close call for #1 between the usual foes: Mayfield/Beechwood. I know SOS helps Beechwood more than Mayfield. 3 in the loss column means LCA will be traveling probably starting in the 3rd round. I would love to see them since it looks like they can be at full strength come playoff time! OCath/Hancock Co is big this week.
-
I say RPI 1 Mayfield 2 Beechwood 3 LCA and the rest is a toss up. OCath maybe if the win out. They lost to CAL (#1 3A) and Union Co (#5 3A and may move up).

BluegrassPreps.com Class 3A Football Rankings (9/12)
FB Head replied to TheDeuce's topic in KY Football (High School)
I've seen PT play twice (McCracken & Mayfield) and Union Co once (Murray). This game will be closer than people outside of WKY think. Union Co has some of the best athletes I've seen this year. PT is a more complete team and, I believe, should win in a close game. The game is at Union and that is a horrible drive for any team. It's out in the middle of no where 😅. If it wasn't for the drive, I would love to see this game in a couple of weeks. -

I was looking to have another popcorn session this week in 6A rakings 😁😆 I'd say they seem to be just right. Good luck to both teams playing out of state foes. Trinity/Male is always a headliner! -

After watching PT twice now (McCracken, Mayfield), I think Union is more than capable of winning the district. They are strong and athletic all over the field. Them @ #5 is probably right. They will get their chances to move up. They play Murray on the road this week. I foresee them being 7-0 when they play Tilghman at home.
