  1. What sucks is there is actually talent in this Danville class but they’re playing for other schools. Braidin Baughman is probably Mercer’s best player and he transferred from Danville. We all know how good Damauriah Brown is for Boyle County. And I can only imagine who else is playing elsewhere. I mean even C/o 24 Boyle County QB Sage Dawson started at Danville. The administrators are driving this program into the ground with their decision making.
  2. North Oldham is good. I think Tate’s Creeks was a little fools gold being 2-0 because both their wins were over awful opponents. If North Oldham can beat South Oldham next week then in my eyes they are legit. That’s a mental hurdle for them that they’ve been trying to get over for years.
  3. I would imagine this is a vastly different Male team then the one Bowling Green saw in the scrimmage. They’ve seemed to figure a few things out now.
  4. I actually think North Oldham gets this done. Without knowing the details I was told Oldham County beat Tate’s Creek pretty handily in their scrimmage (albeit a scrimmage) and imo North Oldham is better than Oldham County. I like North Oldham to win 35-21.
  5. SC is certainly not “bad”. They will beat a lot of 5A teams but they are not a contender at all. This is definitely Great Crossings best team ever. Buddy Collins did not play for Scott County but imo that wouldn’t have changed the score at all. It was a beat down physically and Scott County did not look like the physical team they built their program on.
  6. This is a blowout. We’re on running clock watch. GC up 46-15 with 2:14 left.
  7. Great Crossing runs it in. This game is over. GC up 39-15.
  8. GC picks off Scott County in Cardinal territory. They could put it away here.
  9. Great Crossing punches it in again, (literally punches thrown play prior). GC up 33-15 with 8:13 left.
  10. Great Crossing up 26-15 end of 3Q. We are one quarter away from the changing of the guard in Georgetown.
  11. Does Simon Kenton practice defense or just offense?
  12. Scott County might be on upset alert. Great Crossing up 19-8 at half.
  13. 61 points with 10:00 left in the 4th quarter is certainly a statement.
  14. Hickey TD. Great Crossing up 9-8 over Scott County in the 2Q.
  15. Final. South Oldham pretty much dominated this one. Nelson scored once on a botched snap on a punt in the first half and other than that had little to no success. Perhaps the biggest news is Julian Miles is back playing for South Oldham after missing last season to injury. He was supposed to be sitting out this year to focus on basketball as he is one of the better players in the state but I suppose he got some FOMO being in the bleachers. Miles had 3 touchdowns in his first game back on the gridiron.
  16. My goodness I hope PT matches up with Boyle in Lexington.
  17. This Paducah team is one of the more complete ball clubs I’ve seen in a while.
  18. Coach Roberts has done a really good job at bringing the excitement back to a program that was a Hail Mary away from a state championship shot years ago. They are better up front than they have been in years past so I actually think North Oldham can make a little bit of noise this year in 4A ball. I like the mustangs to win this one 35-21.
  19. Doss has always had athletes roaming the halls. Coach Hawkins did a good job with them when he was there and I would like to see them be competitive again in the Louisville scene. Looks like they’ve started out this season well and I think they’ll keep it rolling here. Going 28-21 Doss.
  20. Bryan Station definitely matches up better athletically with Boyle than LCA did but I question the big boys up front a little. I think the Station defense will be able to hold up enough but not sure if they’ll get enough points on the board to win it.
  21. The good news for South Oldham is you’re looking at on paper 5 very winnable games ahead of you to right the ship and get things moving in the right direction. When you scrimmage Frederick Douglass, CAL, and play Anderson Ohio in back to back to back weeks it’s gotta be tough on the morale. It will be interesting to see what the team looks like if they can start to pick up some momentum.
  22. It’s obviously extremely early but PT and Boyle seemed destined for Kroger Field.
  23. Ya honestly no idea why this game was scheduled. From what I saw when I watched South Oldham was pretty solid with their run defense. HOWEVER. They got absolutely gashed on the deep pass. Game was probably a little closer than the score indicates but like I had predicted Anderson got out and front and there was no looking back.
