Both teams are 1-0 coming into this game and it is one of our BGP Pick 5 games this week:

Additionally, it appears that Glicod.com is going to have free video of this game:

Who do you think wins this one?  Tough one to pick, right?

This one is a tough one. Tompkins and Schmittel are a formidable WR duo, but I think my old teammate Mike Jackson has got the Colts headed in the right direction. Those two wideouts may have trouble getting off the line of scrimmage and then it’s a question of the NO run game.

I'm gonna say

Desales 27 NO 23

DeSales already has lost two of their top players for the year. Running back and receiver and of course they played both ways. 25 of the 60 on roster are freshman so looks like some people are already getting a chance to step up!

Will be a huge crowd in Goshen. Highway 42 will be busier than it’s already busy Friday night. The new Gustafos on 42 or the new DiOrio’s on River Road have wonderful happy hours. A couple of great pregame spots….but you better be there by 5 pm.

Coach Roberts has done a really good job at bringing the excitement back to a program that was a Hail Mary away from a state championship shot years ago. They are better up front than they have been in years past so I actually think North Oldham can make a little bit of noise this year in 4A ball. I like the mustangs to win this one 35-21.

Give me North Oldham by 14.

Taking North Oldham in this matchup.

Comparing the common opponents Seneca put 21 on DeSales in regular season, barring didn’t see when they scored. North Oldham, in a scrimmage, shut out Seneca and both Offenses equally scored 49 against Seneca.

Brock Roberts has Goshen buzzing and being the home opener, should be a crazy environment.

This game was a coin flip for me, but in light of the Colts being down two of their best, I'll take the feral horse for the win.

Hopefully this game gets streamed, because it should be a good one on the field with the atmosphere to match.

Desales led Seneca 42-6 at half. Played JV second half with running clock.

Both coaches inherited programs in stress and have done well in getting their teams much more competitive and trending up.
