  1. Congrats to your son on a great season! It is hard to go 12-0, then have to run into the likes of a JC. I have no idea what really happened at Corbin with Haddix. I just know the rumor mill said that he had some assistant coaches that didn't agree with the way things were going. Seems like that is true again with the new coach. They definitely have talent, and could be a state contender for years to come. Hope they can get the coaching situation straightened out.
  2. Congrats Logan County! Look forward to seeing you all next Friday at Boyle.
  3. Can't wait to see the stats on this one. Maybe a record on penalties in one game.
  4. Congrats to Franklin County! Looks like a rematch with Johnson Central is in the works.
  5. IMO, it is one of the worst fields I have seen. You would think with the football program they have, they would invest some money in those facilities.
  6. Danville will still be in the district with LCA. Don’t know if they can get back in the hunt with current alignment.
  7. I would be shocked if this job doesn't go to Clevenger. And I would also be shocked if he didn't end up with some type of administrative job where he didn't have to teach and could just coach.
  8. Boyle had just one. Kinda funny how rumors spread. Can't think of a year that Boyle had 22 seniors.
  9. Grant County. Neither was very impressive.
  10. Just watched a Scott game. I'd be surprised if Boyle doesn't have a running clock by half.
  11. It will also stream on https://www.team1prep.com/ky/. A lot of games there are free of charge because the find a corporate sponsor to cover the cost.
  12. I think it says a lot about your strength of schedule when you don't lose a game all season and still end up 3rd in the RPI. Behind a team that has lost one, and a team that has lost 2 games. I wouldn't be counting my chickens until they hatch. I do think we see that Corbin will have the toughest road to get there.
  13. I think he has burned his bridges in Marion County. Don't see it happening.
  14. Who ever the Knights pick, it needs to be someone with a strong backbone. They need to have the guts to say it is their program, if you don't like the rules then you can't be part of it. Someone to take a big part in the little league and middle school programs. There are athletes in Marion County, they just need some discipline and tough love. I don't see them getting an established coach, it probably will be an up and coming first time head coach.
  15. Was told by several players that EKU really wanted from last year's senior class that they did not have the scholarships to give out. That most of their players were coming back for the extra covid year, and they just didn't have any scholarships to give. Wanted a lot of the seniors from last year to be PWO. I think many of last year's seniors saw this with a lot of schools. They didn't have guys leaving to go to NFL, so many decided to come back and get that extra year and scholarship. I believe you saw many seniors that could have gone to schools like EKU, Marshall, etc. that just couldn't get the scholarship offers because they didn't have them to give.
  16. #27, Jackson Smith has committed to UK as Kicker/Punter. #36 Tommy Ziesmer, defensive end, is a junior and has offers to UK, UL, and several others. That is it.
  17. Just curious as to where the great FD defense was tonight? If that is the best defense Boyle will see this season, then I am pretty excited about that.
  18. Yes, the QB decided to come back another year. If given the opportunity in his situation, I think most kids would have. I don't think Boyle ran up the score. I think if they threw the ball more frequently in the second half instead of trying to run it so much, this score could have been more one sided. The fireworks (not mortars) are set off far from the end zone, close to Boyle's baseball field. They are not near the visitor section at all. Boyle is very fortunate enough to have an alumni football player that is certified to build fireworks, and he does that every home game. A lawsuit? For fireworks? Even colleges shoot off fireworks, cannons, etc. when their team scores.
  19. Don’t think so. LCA and Beechwood are on a whole nother level.
  20. Boyle’s offense seemed a little off tonight. Wasn’t sure if that was from BG defense or the odd play calling. Hope #13 for BG is ok.
  21. I'm very anxious to see the outcome of this game. I think Pulaski County showed some weaknesses in Lex Cath defense, and I hope that LCA can exploit those. I hope that LCA can pull out a win this week.
  22. I've seen several people on here say they thought it would be Boyle until they take a look at their schedule. I really don't understand that statement. Boyle has played Tates Creek (1-3), LCA (4-0), Pulaski County (1-3, but only beaten by undefeated Corbin, undefeated Lex Cath, and Boyle), and Henderson Co. (2-1). Bowling Green has played Highlands (3-1), McCracken (0-4), PRP (1-2), and Hopkinsville(1-3). I don't see how Boyle's schedule so far as made people think they are below Bowling Green. I think that this an even matched game and will be a dog fight. Don't think Boyle's schedule makes them lower.
  23. I went to a game at Belfry once, and was told to get the chili dog. They make the sauce there themselves. It was by far the best chili dog I think I have ever had!
