Football Concessions: Where are you? What should I order?

Featured Replies

Now that we are (slowly) getting back to a normal life I have been able to get out to games on Friday nights like I always have in the past. In the past I've been willing to make a drive for a good matchup and always love to try that school's concession staple. Where are you from? What should I order when I go?

Bonus points for those off the wall items specific to your concession stand!

It's been a few years since I have to a game at Beechwood but I remember the burgers there being outstanding....and huge.

BBQ pork chop sandwiches at Bullitt East.  They are fantastic.

At St. X, I always order cheeseburger. They have tomato, pickles, and onions out with condiments if want that on burger.

Been a few years myself, but I remember the Beechwood burger being a meal in itself! Wonder if they sold out Friday yet! I'd love to go back for one.

Never been to St. X for football. Attended baseball there a few times.

Bardstown sells grilled pork chop sandwiches and pork burgers that were pre-marinated at the regionally well-known Boone's Butcher Shop here in Bardstown. They are huge, and as addictive as crack.  They are grilled by Coach Glenn Koger and the Tiger baseball team, and all proceeds help support the team.

Male has one of the best burgers I've ever had.

They still have them. My son loves them, and they are good sized.

The best burger I had was at Frankfort High School. Hand patted and grilled!

If you are coming to Highlands in Ft Thomas Ky there is 915 Grill right at the 5 way stop at Memorial Pwky and North Ft Thomas Ave, turn left and left again, its right there, quaint and great food (915 No. Ft Thomas Ave) Just a block or two from the High School and David Cecil Memorial Stadium, it does fill up quickly. The other end of town is Midway Cafe, 1017 S. Ft Thomas Ave, google for directions, good food and they fill up fast on a Friday Night. You will also find Ft. Thomas Pizza and Tavern and Grass Roots & Vine, those three restaurants are right across the street from the VA Hospital in Ft Thomas, if you know where that is.

The last time I was at cov catholic which was a couple of years ago, they had some really good fries

I went to a game at Belfry once, and was told to get the chili dog.  They make the sauce there themselves.  It was by far the best chili dog I think I have ever had!

Grilled Ribeye Sandwich at Harrison County for football or baseball.  Outside grill on a drum barrel , 1/4 actual sliced ribeyes. All the fixings, even onions.
