Did the Coach who has been there seven years resign on his own or was he let go from his coaching position? Looking on the school website, they have available coaching positions posted for High School Football Head Coach, Middle School Football Head Coach, Volleyball High School Head Coach and Baseball High School Head Coach. Interesting that baseball would be posted as open when their in the middle of their current season even though they are winless to date. I hope that the football coach just resigned on his own considering the season has been over for over six months now when he could have been pursuing other coaching opportunities in that time frame had he known he would be let go.

I am not aware of where Coach Hicks is going but the job is posted on the Jefferson County Schools site.

Fairdale is now open and taking applications through tomorrow. Very appealing job as they have proven they can win a state title winning three of four in the early 90's along with being an annual participant in the King of the Bluegrass event. They return all but two players from a 22 win team including their top six scorers for the 2023-2024 campaign.

Louisville Southern Athletics twitter page says they have hired Jeremy Baker as new head coach. Baker has been assistant coach at Louisville Central.

This was the first tournament I have missed in some time, hated to miss it but seemed like attendance was great. I sold my seats so I didn't lose my package for next year and beyond.

For a small school like Owen County, they have had quite a bit of talented high school players come through there the last 10-12 years, at least two division one players.

Haven't heard a lot of names on this job, have only heard two and that interviews took place within the last 7-10 days. One name I have heard has had pretty good success at three different stops around the central part of the state (one lengthy stop more northern) but didn't coach this past season as a head coach. Don't want to mention names in case they don't want it out there.

In 3A, Bardstown and Cal would go opposite of each other in the third round and wouldn't meet until the final four (4th Round) In 4A, Lexington Catholic and Boyle won't meet until the final four or state (4th Round) rather than the third round as well?

Looking at the various brackets online and it says they re-bracket based on RPI beginning with the November 18th round (3rd Round). How does the re-bracket format work, I am unfamiliar with this. Do they re-bracket all 8 teams who remain based on the RPI and seed 1 through 8 or do they re-bracket after every round?

Jimmie Holder has taken over the girls basketball program at his Alma mater, Marshall County.

Coach Huff returns to Hindman where he was assistant before taking over the head coaching reigns at Prestonburg last year. Prestonburg is now open.
