I do agree with that for high end, the top two high end players in the region are now both at Montgomery County. -
Huge Transfer News in the 10th Region
FlyPattern replied to GoBucks97's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
He is very good, will have highest ceiling of anyone in the tenth region off the rip but he will not be the best player on the region next season, won’t be best player on his own team as a freshman. He will be a power six conference player though but saying. Beat player in the tenth next season is not the case. -
Would like to start a thread of kids who have new teams they will play for next season so us fans can keep up with roster changes. Prefer no rumors of transfers just official when they enroll to see how new teams shape out. I will start the list of ones I have became aware of to date. 1.) Corey Flinchum from Jackson City to Powell County 2.) Jon Moss from Owensboro to Daviess County 3.) Jerrod Roark from Williamsburg to Clay County 4.) Demauriah Brown from Danville to Boyle County 5.) Ethan Dunn from Bryan Station to Montgomery County

This possibly confirms that De'Aaron Watkins is transferring as rumors swirl. The question is which rumored destination does he go to, stay in the 2nd and move south, move north into the 3rd or east into the 11th? -
This job posting was up yesterday, should be some action around this one anytime now.

NFHS Basketball Rules Changes For Next Season
FlyPattern replied to WishboneCity's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I can see the benefits as well to the most aggressive defensive team because fouling early in the half they will receive a fresh start for the second part of the half. Alongside my aforementioned point of 5 fouls resulting in the bonus in an 8 minute quarter, aggressive defensive teams can be extra aggressive because the penalty won't come quite as often, for a team to get to five fouls without doing so for an end the game situation they would have to have a high foul to possession ratio. When the penalty does come, it won't happen until very late in the quarter, again rewarding teams to be more aggressive because they may only get penalized a minute or two at the end of the quarter. Personally if going to this rule, I see it would have made better sense if it was four fouls for the bonus since the quarters are eight minutes in length rather than five fouls like the NCAAW where their time frame is ten minutes. -
NFHS Basketball Rules Changes For Next Season

If going to this rule, women play ten minute quarters and NBA plays 12 minute quarters as both have the same rule of 5 fouls per quarter for the bonus. High School is only 8 minute quarters, outside of shooting fouls there will rarely be free throws until the fourth quarter when a team is attempting to foul. -
Any updates on this one, I personally think this is one of the top 3-5 jobs open this carousel.

Was unaware that this position was open, but Derek Ferch is now head coach at Louisville Collegiate. I believe this is where a former U of L assistant was head coach last season, only season after replacing George Hornstein.

What a nosedive this program has taken in such a short time. It won't take long to build it back up in my opinion.
