I think this is cool...I can't remember until recently (since the signing of the Anderson County player going to Northwestern) have I seen players signing to Long Snap. Very important position that has long been unappreciated until now...glad to see the Bardstown young man get this.

Former Morehead State Eagle along with being an assistant there for a few years. Then he became an assistant at Rowan County for a while. Not sure about number of years or dates but that is it in a nut shell.

I found this about the hiring freeze within Fort Campbell's schools. HIRING FREEZE HURTS DODEA EDUCATION

Well they can have reallocations which means they could get someone who is already in the federal system, which can only be from other DODEA schools...such as Fort Knox or other schools over seas. They may be a way around it...not sure how though.

From my understanding there is a hiring freeze for the DODEA agency, which governs Fort Campbell. They were informed of this yesterday and there are only exemption hirings that can be made. This may change but that is what they have been told.

With a hiring freeze in the federal system...I bet it will be hard to get a coach hired for this job. The only way I could see someone getting this is if they were with in the system. Maybe with there at Campbell or Knox...possibly overseas?

I wonder when they will make a decision about having football?

It’s a step up...to have head coaching experience on the collegiate level is invaluable. He would have the opportunity later to move up with that type of experience if that is what he wants to do.

That is a lot of money to get a program started...I'm sure a lot of it is going to facilities along with equipment. I would think any way.

That should have been a red flag right there when they hired him.

I'm curious too as to why they can't win there. Are they rich entitled kids/parents? Or are they a rural school to spread out to get kids to committ? Or is it that they are a basketball school (or soccer, baseball, etc.)?

2Gs? And they let the old HFC go that was there for 9 years? I'm sorry sounds like he was a very dedicated coach to be there for 2Gs a year...they won't find someone else that will do that unless they are fresh out of college or they are using MC for a stepping stone...setting up the program for failure is what it sounds like to me...maybe there is moreto the story...anyone?

I would think there would be a huge lawsuit waiting to happen if Due Process wasn't allowed.

It's all about the Ws....everybody knows this....that is with any job....if you are a successful super star a lot of stuff gets over looked...sad but true.

Yes but for a state who is trying to improve the recruitment of their football athletes it wouldn't make sense to promote and accept this practice. Just like Stoops or Petrino...they will never have to pay to get in a game...not because they can't afford it but who they are and what they can provide. Again just my thoughts.

Yes this is a non-issue for D-1 schools...but the majority of our players don't go D-1 they go to the lower level schools....which is great so I think we should be more willing to let those guys in for free so they can recruit our players. I guarantee if our coaches were to want to go to a game to watch a college team they would want a free pass (which they do) or even if one of our players were being recruited by one of the college schools and they wanted to go to a game they would want a free pass (which they do). It works both ways...so yes it is an issue in my eyes.
