From a buddy of mine who coaches college football...he said that doesn't pay anywhere else he goes to recruit players. Tennessee, Ohio, PA, etc. However in this state he does. He doesn't coach on a high level so I would bet he doesn't get paid that much to coach...if (the KHSAA or who ever is in control of this) is wanting to promote the commonwealth's talent then I would try to make it accomdating for college coaches (especially those who have low recruiting budgets). Just my thoughts.

@newarkcatholicfan what is your bio? Are you from Kentucky and live in Ohio? Or is it just a pure love of the game and just try to get as much of it as you can? Just curious...I've seen you on here for years but didn't know why you were so interested in Kentucky football to watch so many games.

He is retiring from coaching due to health reasons.

I agree...especially with Andrew Coverdale calling the offense has been huge for the program...he is a pro football coach...coaching on the high school level. Jay Cobb on defense has been an outstanding addition as of late. And of course having Coach Beatty orchestrating the whole program has been nothing short of greatness...his history with program speaks volumes.

I call it how I see it...been around this game a long time...this is poor management on the part of Julian Tackett...not the first time he has made poor decisions like this. I will keep it at that.

Can we not have them at EKU or UK? Don't be fooled...its a money thing not a logistics thing.

Sorry that is a cop out statement...there is NO excuse why they should playing these games at WKU knowing they could be changed...this is a lack of consideration on Julian Tackett's part to those who have to travel great distances to get to a game of a lifetime only it to be changed on them.

Lafayette will keep it close for a quarter then Trinity will pull away with a running clock in the third.

It should never surprise anyone on how close the T and X games are....no matter the records or rankings...its always a competitive game.
