Former NFL qb Hunter Cantrell has been named the new coach.

Really?

Really?

Yes.

Who?

Cantwell played QB at Tilghman before going to Louisville and playing as well. He saw quite a bit of action despite being Brian Brohm's back up. I think he might have even started his entire senior year or more. The last few years he has been an assistant coach at Campbellsville University.

This hire was 4 years in the making. Cantwell had been giving the Superintendent's son QB lessons for awhile. He thought he could lure him to Carroll County before his son's SR year, so he basically showed Coach Weedman the door. Evidently Cantwell balked at the idea and Carroll was stuck hiring some little league dad when every other option they thought they had went elsewhere. Good luck to new coach, he will need it...mainly dealing with administration.

Big hire for Carroll County.

Never expected to hear the Panthers getting a hire like this as a coach . Good luck to the Panthers.

What's next year schedule look like? Carroll has improved their facilities a lot over the past few years

What's wrong with Carroll County's administration? I have met the principal before. He seems like nice guy.

Totally incompetent. Discipline at the school is non-existent. It's no secret in Carroll County that he is the lowest ranked principal in the state according to the states school survey that every school does. Obviously the only reason he is employed is because he's the superintendents lap dog. I'm guessing it's not going to take long for Hunter Cantwell to realize he made a huge mistake.

@Tha Moss I had not heard that. I am not too close to the situation but the teachers I know from down have had good things to say about him. Perhaps we are not talking about the same person. The principal right?
