Jake Martin- DT- Bishop Brossart- Class of 2017

Featured Replies

I wanted to give a shout out to Jake Martin from Bishop Brossart. He is my brother so I wanted to brag on him a bit. He finished his great career from Brossart with two playoff appearances and kept the program alive along with his class of seniors and the class of 2015 and 2016. He was a 4 year varsity starter on defense and offense.

That is a lot of tackles and sacks for a DT...he must be a beast!

I've seen him play a few times this year, very impressive. Lots of raw power and for his size, he's quick. What's his size? I guessed 6'2 and 280 pounds?

I saw Jake Martin play once this year, after hearing about him for the past few years. He is, as delivered, one of the hardest hitting kids I have seen in a while. He unloaded on a little come back block and I swear the kid was picking up his cleats as he wandered off the field.

As a player for BBHS he added so much more value to the overall team, one could only wonder what he would have produced in a more established program. This is not a knock on BBHS at all.

Jake's upside potential is through the ceiling IMO. If BBHS gets a few more through the program like him over the years, life will be good at the ranch.

Congrats Jake Martin on an outstanding career and setting the bar high. No doubt that someone will stand on your shoulders to better this program in the future.
