I'm not saying I doubt the story, and I haven't heard any details aside from exactly what Toothpick posted in the original post, but for the sake of Coach Barber, I sure hope this turns out to actually have been less of an incident than is being reported.

Just read it's not true.. Had to restrain a student and rumors are circulating but he's working today from all accounts.

Some rumors floating that Paducah Tilghman football coach Kurt Barber has been fired. According to principal Art Davis, this is NOT true.

Makes sense. Sometimes students have to be restrained. It doesn't mean the teacher was in the wrong.
