CORRECTION: 2-2 Tigers scored on a INT return and a TD pass early. Two solid teams. Agree the in-season game will be a great one to watch.

One of the absolute all time great men and coaches. I’m 100% positive this generation of player and ESPECIALLY parent wouldn’t handle Coach Goetz well lol. Can’t remember a coach in my entire sports career who was both respected and feared like he was. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing him a few times over the last decade and each time he couldn’t have been more kind and curious about how I was doing. One of the good ones for sure!

I think the GREAT thing about this is that the Eagles - thankfully - have a large group of very dedicated men (and women btw) that have devoted a large portion of their lives to the Eagles youth, middle school and HS football programs. Some of those men are on the HS staff currently and I think that will make all of this, ultimately, a lot less painful than it could have been. Definitely a saving grace. Best of luck to Coach Owens as he moves forward and most assuredly to the Eagles program, which, I think, will be perfectly fine with those men on the staff taking over and taking care of the program and players.

Did you watch Fryman much at all? In particular, the CovCath game? Without question, he was the top freshman player I saw last year. CovCaths team last year was much deeper/bigger/more experienced and Fryman’s receiving TD and kick return TD had the score tied at the half. Colonels pulled away in second half when they blanketed Fryman with 3 defenders. There were definitely a few other standouts, but, I’m with @Voice of Reason, his dominance was second to none.

Hearing he will remain at Lloyd. Whispers are NCC was an option but they elected to remain with the grateful Juggs.

Anyone downplaying Queen’s talent or possible massive future impact had he stayed with CovCath is lol/bitter/ridiculous. The kid is a stud…

1. A District Championship still means something to some teams right? And then there's... 2. RPI still rolls throughout the district - if a team wins, maybe they jump someone in the RPI and up their seeding in the Regional right?

How does it not mean anything? In this scenario, the two district finalists each played for a district title and both still made the Regional Tourney? I'm not seeing an unacceptable outcome based on using RPI no matter how it plays out?
