Adults Are Ruining Sports Volume...?

WOW!  That is just beyond what I've ever seen from fan interference at a baseball game.

But it would appear this goes back much further than this story does.

I'm not sure who to believe honestly, and likely both sides are to blame.  But really feel bad for the kids.

I can't imagine a high school kid placed in that situation where your dad and brother and family are all fighting at the games and probably off the field too.

Pretty sad situation.

And I think I got this right, but didn't they insinuate that the Dad was at home plate celebrating the grand slam home run.  Or did I get that wrong?  That's not appropriate if it's the case.

So embarrassing.

My friend that has umpired multiple levels of the sport has told me the worst interactions he had coming up through the ranks was with parents of younger aged kids.

I read it a couple of times and I'm not entirely sure what I read. The dynamics of it all is so strange. I really hope the quote about the umpire's wife dying wasn't true. If so, that's awful, especially since the father is (or used to be) the assignor of baseball officials in the 8th Region.

That's how I understood it as well. My first thought was what's he doing on the field? Then just through a google search found out he's an umpire (or at least umpired) so he knows better. And then a comment on here says he used to be the assignor for the 8th? Wow!! So many things wrong with this situation. And he wanted the injunction but the letter said because of this incident and a previous incident?? Adults know better and should do better!!!

In the video, he does not appear to have done that, but that's what the older son (coach) was saying.

Remove. Them. All. Bye!

Any other move by either school is unacceptable.

Here's what I have to say, and I don't want to be mean, however, that article has me extremely confused. Leave out all the cute sports puns, don't call anyone involved by their last name since they all have a last name, and give me a timeline/account of events I can actually follow. Woof.

There is a video attached.

Is the father of the baseball player a coach? If he isn’t why would he be close enough to “on the field” that his other son, the coach would be that heated to go after him? The Shelby Co coach shouldn’t be allowed to coach ever again, and his wife needs to lose her teacher aid job. If we did this at our place of employment we would be terminated. And if the comment to the umpire is true, that coach should’ve been tossed and I would’ve forfeited the game to the other team, or told the crew I’m done and gone home.

As I understand this.

Dad has two sons involved, kid one coaches on team A kid two plays for team B.

Kid two hits homerun and Dad celebrates. Kid one gets upset that (maybe half) brother hits HR and that his Dad celebrated. Ex-wife (I'm guessing Kid 1's mom but not Kid 2's) is also mad saying Dad shouldn't play favorites and celebrate. Kid 1 charges across the field and is stopped by umpire. At some point Kid 1's wife threatened Dad and Deputies get involved to sort it all out.

My question is where exactly was Dad? If he wasn't on the field as claimed but not verified by video, then Kid 1 needs to grow up. If Dad was giving the DX salute while celebrating to Kid 1, then that's a bit much...otherwise Kid 1 needs to suck it up and take his loss.

We need more info here please!!!
