Not a head coach at Campbell Co.

I know he was an assistant at Campbell and Newport before getting his first head coaching job at Ludlow in 2003. He was able to rebuild that program after they were coming off of a 30 game losing streak when he was hired. Was able to get them in the playoffs that very first year even when it was still just 4 classes and had to earn your way into the playoffs. Randy Borchers was his defensive coordinator those years with Hensley at Ludlow, before Hensley left to go coach at Taylor high school in Ohio. I believe coach Hensley was the head coach there for 2 or 3 seasons, before stepping down because he became an assistant principal.
 

He hasn’t coached in awhile, but is a very good coach and motivator and will do a good jon there. He has experience coming into tough situations, as I mentioned he took over Ludlow after they had a 30 game losing streak and the year before only had 13 players for one game. He was able to quickly reenergize the program and get players back out, and turned the program around right away. 
 

I think this was a great hire by Scott and I wish coach Hensley the best of luck this season!

Great person, coach and role model for his players!  Scott is lucky he was willing to step back into coaching.  Congrats Coach Hensley!

Goodluck Coach Hensley! Not an ideal situation for anyone, but they’ve got a fighting chance with you!

One of the absolute all time great men and coaches. I’m 100% positive this generation of player and ESPECIALLY parent wouldn’t handle Coach Goetz well lol.

Can’t remember a coach in my entire sports career who was both respected and feared like he was. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing him a few times over the last decade and each time he couldn’t have been more kind and curious about how I was doing. 

One of the good ones for sure!

Good smart hire by Scott. Steve is a veteran coach and administrator and can help these kids with a tough situation. Sounds like Casey Fisk was prepared for this possibility. Good luck Eagles!!
