  1. According to a tweet I saw that first game is against J-Town, not CAL.
  2. Fern Creek and Butler scrimmaged last week. Varsity played 3 quarters and FC had a 1 score advantage at that time.
  3. South Oldham has some “old school football” talent and has been coached extremely well for a number of seasons. It wouldn’t shock me to see them there and a little bit of me hopes they can pull off some “upsets“ and at least be on the dance floor. However, it’s a tall task for whoever makes it out of 5A this year.
  4. If defense wins championships. I’ll take central in this one by a touchdown. Give me North in the playoffs. Should no doubt be fast and physical games between these two.
  5. I think everyone not wearing orange and black last night can agree on this one.
  6. As much as Central has proven me wrong year after year, I still haven’t learned. Give me Waggener in a very close one here.
  7. Male scores early and often in this one. 50+ with JV guys getting plenty of reps.
  8. Only thing I’d change is 31-28 X. Very much agree with your statement.
  9. It’s hard to get a read on who exactly Butler is with their schedule. I think this has the potential to be a pretty good ball game and I think we will learn more about each of these teams this Friday.
  10. One of the bigger issues I think we will see moving forward with this seeding the regionals thing is going to be after the first 2 years. If a program is struggling let’s just say in these first 2 years they will have a tough time fielding a schedule because any team with serious playoff run thoughts will stay away from the “gimme games” as that won’t help them any. Just my two cents about it.
  11. T’s & P’s to everyone involved. Such a horrible situation.
  12. Very good point. I think they’re a nightmare matchup for some schools and you never know what could happen. That district may be one of the toughest. I wouldn’t want to be a 2 or 3 seed and have to play butler or male 1st round. Even manual at a 4 seed could present a problem as I think they’re playing some good football right now.
  13. I wouldn’t fully write off Butler just yet. That team can be dangerous.
  14. I don’t get outside of Louisville to watch too many games. That 2015 Male team may have been one of the fastest teams I’ve seen in recent years at every position. Very fun team to watch.
  15. 7 Fern Creek 5 Trinity 3 NH 2 Butler 1 Iroqouis TB - Butler
  16. As a Louisville HS football guy. I like the proposed district changes around here. Adding some really good changes to 5A’s. I love that male and manual can go back to final game of regular season. CAL and Desales should make for some very good district games.
  17. Not only is that huge in 6A but also very huge for 5A as well.
  18. Kevin Wallace gets the gig. Per Jason Frakes twitter. https://www.courier-journal.com/story/sports/preps/kentucky/2018/02/05/kevin-wallace-named-next-football-coach-st-xavier-high-school/308119002/
  19. I also heard from someone (can’t remember exactly who it was or ties to any program) that Wallace was in the mix. According to them a former assistant coach @ BG under Wallace is now an assistant AD @ X. I didn’t research the truth in that comment, but if true, could bridge the ties to X dilemma.
  20. I know this post is regarding Rondale Moore. But is it crazy to think that he and Jarius Brents could end up at the same school? They both workout with the same trainer, both highly sought after recruits. Just thinking aloud.
  21. Really hard to not think of 2002 Male HS. 56 points and 681 yards will normally win you a lot of ball games.
