Fern Creek opens the season at #6 in the BluegrassPreps 6A Top 10 poll. Ballard opens up at #7. So we have a top 10 showdown early. Fern Creek didn’t play last week, and Ballard has a scrimmage against Male. Which teams opens up the season with a win?

This should be good game but with Ballard beating Male in scrimmage even though Male was missing some defensive starters, I'll take Ballard to win.

This may be the best game of the night

Fern Creek's Terrance Mitchell may be slightly overshadowed by Male's Jaylin Bross and DeSales' James Johnson, but he is one of the best running backs in Louisville. He'll put Ballard's experienced defense to the test. They'll test him in return, I'm sure.

This was a low scoring game last year. I think we'll see the same thing again this Friday.

Fern Creek and Butler scrimmaged last week. Varsity played 3 quarters and FC had a 1 score advantage at that time.

Here's a link to the YouTube account for Fern Creek. They are apparently broadcasting the game tonight.
