Ya know Fern Creek was in 5A for a spell 5 years ago or so.

Any chance their population allows them do dip back down again?

Way Fern Creek area has grown I would say probably not.

It actually wouldn’t depend on the FC area. FCHS only gets about 50-60% of the market share for that part of Louisville. Privates and public-privates have had their grip on the area for awhile now. Nevertheless they are still in top 20 in enrollment. I doubt we’ll see a drop anytime soon.

I think they rank 15 or 16 for avg. male enrollment.  I think Male is actually smaller in that regard than FC.  Marshall Co., Apollo & Southern are the smallest in 6A male enrollment.

That's a fairly competitive schedule for Fern Creek. I like it.

According to a tweet I saw that first game is against J-Town, not CAL.

Small change to the schedule card from the tweet in @ReadOption's post above...a team dropped out of the Bluegrass Bowl on August 27th so things were shuffled around slightly. Fern Creek now plays Henry Clay in the Bluegrass Bowl at Lex Cath.
