The job posting ended on Friday. They have 80 applicants, narrowing it down to around 20. Hope to have someone in place by mid February. - Tigers88

I would say, if 80 coaches applied, should have some very good candidates.

Those are some strong numbers but in line with what I would expect for a program like X...

Who are the top names you are hearing?

I know 4 current St. X assistants applied but haven’t heard outside applicants.

I would imagine three of the four "in house" applicants are Walsh, Bruner, and the OC.

I heard from an X coach (not a football coach) that Bowling Green's coach applied.

Fair enough...

I know he was at Warren East before he was at Bowling Green. I'm curious what (if any) ties he might have to draw him to Louisville.

He didn't give me a name. I was asking him about Leflors. Said he didn't know if Leflors applied but that "Bowling Green's coach applied"

I also heard from someone (can’t remember exactly who it was or ties to any program) that Wallace was in the mix. According to them a former assistant coach @ BG under Wallace is now an assistant AD @ X. I didn’t research the truth in that comment, but if true, could bridge the ties to X dilemma.

I thought Mike Glaser (former St. X head coach) was AD at St. X ...did he ever coach under Kevin Wallace?

Pretty sure Alan Donhoff is the AD-------has been for years.

You're correct. No idea what gave me the impression that Glaser was the AD :lol2:
