How exactly would you seed this type of tournament? Force all of the teams to play twice before? That would be a ton of games and would complicate scheduling.

Very impressive win for Mayfield... I did not go but listened on the radio. Hate that we don't have a better holiday tourney in the 8th district. Heights better hope like heck that McGowan gets healthy. He's easily their most important player besides Tandy. Rebounds, passes, defends etc... Without him they are a VERY average team.

Burks, Toliver and Govan are back.

Ware goes off for 49 in the win for Christian County. A step-up in competition tomorrow. I think Webster could be a more difficult matchup for us.

Tough day for Hopkinsville. They took it on the chin in the second half from Valley. Even with 3 Key guys back Hopkinsville has struggled to score today. They play a struggling Senaca team tomorrow in the game between the two 0-2 teams from the Tilghman tournament.

Terrific game for both teams. My UHA friends tell me they think this spell without McGowan will really help them as the season goes along because they are being forced to develop a couple of young guards... I didn’t expect UHA to stick with Tilghman.

Mayfield led by 2 at half and Connor Guthrie caught fire to lead the Cardinals to a nice win over Hopkinsville. Hopkinsville had their 6'11 big man Burks back for the second straight game and he provided 19 points. They are inching back to having their full allotment of talent with starters Govan and Toliver back. Still no word on Jaylen Johnson and when he will be back. James Nicholas is also out with a knee injury.

Also... UHA was without Mississippi State ball commit Drew McGowan. Apparently he's resting some kind of minor injury. He is probably their second best player.

Credit to Chris Jung for sending twitter updates. UHA trailed by 11 after the first quarter but took control as the game progressed. Tandy with 33 points. I will post the Hopkinsville High School and Christian County score later. The Hopkinsville Vs. Mayfield game can be heard on the Mayfield radio station... Impressive win for UHA.

After Covington Catholic slaughtered Ensworth yesterday I think you have to consider CCH the #1 team in the state.

His major offers are Oklahoma and Florida. But just about everybody is looking st him. He has unofficially visited uk. I believe it was for the Florida game last year.

How many state titleteams have finished with 1 loss and that one loss being in the KOB?

Cov Cath deserves to be #1. They have the most impressive win in the state so far. It's close, but I'd say the margin of victory and the quality of wins for Cov Cath is better than Trinity's at this point.

Off the chart. He was 9-14 in the win vs. Hoptown and scored 42 points. He's shooting around 60% from the field and 45% from 3 point range and 90% from the free throw line. When we play UHA the battle between he and ware is going to be terrific.

University Heights was 3-0 last week. They beat Hopkinsville on Tuesday night? Or did you include that in last week’s review? Sorry in advance if you did. Nice write up. Good point. I'm hoping Heights gets to play Mayfield in the Tilghman tourney this Friday. I'd say they will beat Hoptown. The Valley game will be interesting... It's hard to know how good or bad those Louisville teams are.
