County does that to teams... I went to their game vs. uha and it was a very close game until they went on one big run and stretched it from a 2 point game to something like 18. It usually happens when Ware gets open for 3 several times. -
I'm a hoptown guy. But coach frankie probably wants henderson to be considered 3rd because he hear's uha's footsteps catching up to him... Their middle school teams aren't very good this year and with what he's losing off this year's team I'm sure he's scrambling for whatever he can to be decent next year. My tigers have already re-assumed the throne atop district 8... To be honest, I'm more worried about UHA for the next few years than county. UHA is playing MUCH better and has an incredibly young group. Their 8th grade team is one of the best we've seen around here in a long time. They have the next great guard around here too in crump. We will be REALLY good again next year with Shorty and Johnson returning, but the cycle seems to be shifting a touch right now. (Thank god sebree transferred to county two years ago and james nicholas came to us)...

We competed terrificly in this one. Ware and sebree didn't play earlier in the week for county and I'm Wondering if they were both hurt? They didn't look like themselves out there. -
How does uha have 10 losses? Probably played the toughest schedule in west ky. 4 losses in North Carolina against a loaded holiday tourney field. 1 loss to Clarksville northeast who is the top team in their class in tn. (HS of alex poythress). Biggest loss was to Christian county at christian county and that was a close game til the end. Uha is still young. Only one senior on roster.

ON the boys side, I'd put LCA as the clear favorite. Then i'd put 2-10 in a hat and pull any of them out. For instance. Mayfield beat UHA by 3 I believe in the game where Tandy hurt his ankle. UHA beat Russellville on a neutral court... SO I think the top half of the bracket is WIDE open. The bottom half is probably lca and then everybody else. But again, I think there are probably 10 teams that can win it.

Have to agree. Give uha Henderson'a schedule and they look far better. Henderson jumped out on uha early in that game with uha coming back off of a long bus ride from Nc and 5 games in 5 days. After Henderson jumped out to an 12 point lead uha controlled the game the rest of the way. -

uha is clearly the 3rd best team in the region. They beat Henderson with Tandy at less Than full strength. -
University heights has played a murderous schedule. One of the toughest in the state. They are getting healthy. I think Bethlehem could be dangerous as well as Newport central catholic. The best 4 teams could be in that pod. Mayfield or Murray from region 1 will be tough. Mayfield beat university heights early in the year. That's the game when Tandy got Hurt for uha
