  1. I assume cager may have eligibility issues? I would be shocked... I've been a hoptown fan for many many years. We never have kids miss because of academics. And I can't think of any other reason why he would be ruled ineligible. We proved we have a high tolerance for these types of things last year..
  2. The "basketball" culture? Please expand... His issue was not being able to convince big kids to come out and play. He also basically refused to get involved in bud hudson/youth football. Lovelace can be accused of the same. And clark lost to an average south warren team last year and to an average franklin simpson team the year before. Last year he one of the more talented teams I can recall with Johnson, Cager, etc... his teams underachieved. nice guy, not a great coach...
  3. I've seen teams going to the "shield" method as opposed to using two hands or using a shoulder. It's basically "bumping" into the guy...
  4. I'll be interested to see how coach clark does at McCracken. his teams never lived up to their ability in my opinion. The last two years he lost to teams in the playoffs he never should have lost to.
  5. The 94/95 webester team was more talented. However, they were stuck in a region with mayfield and owensboro catholic and weren't as well coached as that 02 team. That team had the biggest offensive line in the state and ryan hill, who played at the air force academy at tailback. They also had brock shoulders. Why they didn't play Shoulders at QB on that team will always baffle me. They played a sophmore who could barely throw a forward pass and wasn't very mobile. They ran the "stack I". That group was begging for a belly/veer offense with shoulders handing off to Ryan 30 times a game and SHoulders keeping it 15-20 times a game. Brock could throw it too.
  6. Fascinating situation. Very Weird... Wish the kid the best. Hope he reaches his dreams. But these "athletic transfers" that happen over and over seem to benefit nobody. Find one place, stay with it. If was his parent, I'd go to the best college prep boarding schools and send him there and then get him on the best AAU program and stick with it. Use the boarding school/college prep school to get me the very best education and get me around the very smartest kids possible. He would build amazing relationships with great families. Then use the AAU system to get me the best exposure and best competition and spend my year in college. (Note, Seeing Harmon, I don't think he is or will be a one and done type player. He's neither big enough or athletic enough). I suspect he ends up outside the top 25 in his class.
  7. I think Johnson has an incredibly positive impact on games. He would be in my top 10 before cager if i was building a "team".
  8. What are the small college gyms with charibacks? Transy? Centre? Bellermaine?
  9. I have heard that Haworth interviewed monday or tuesday and wanted the job. I wonder if he is who leaked the info to Jung when he didn't get the job. Hopefully our coach can now focus on the team for the rest of the off-season. It's been a bit of a circus this summer.
  10. Couldn't disagree more. He's very good off the bounce. Not sure why'd you say this. He's a great finisher. Not the most explosive but he's a very good all around player.
  11. That's right... It's aspire. And don't their students go to Desales. Could he play football at Deslaes if he wanted to play for aspire?
  12. Owensboro or Richmond are fine I guess. I just don't like how far off the floor you sit at EKU's arena.
  13. I the big kid not with Rhodes anymore? I thought Rhodes was his guardian? And cordia lost quite a bit if i recall, the bigger kid who looked like a football player and two other key guys?
  14. Pikeville would be absolutely absurd. Murray would be a better and more deserving location.
  15. With the All A Classic being forced to leave Frankfort, where will it be held this year? I've heard Richmond and Owensboro as possibilities. Any other locations being mentioned? Somewhere like Belermaine or transy would make sense?
  16. The RUMOR is that he is considering playing basketball for the new elite prep team that has formed there. Again, it's just a rumor. No idea if true.
  17. Cuba and Brewers in Far WKY winning it were incredibly small schools. Again, no idea on exact enrollment though. Modern day, university Heights is probably the smallest to win it.
  18. Biggest issue I have heard is that Johnson may be considering a transfer to louisville... And after this year, things don't look as bright for us. So, would he have a shot at a job at a state title type job next year? Would one be open?
  19. BG just hired a athletic director last week. A hopkinsville High School graduate... Mark Spader. He's been an assistant football coach at BG for a long time. His first job will be to hire a b-ball coach.
  20. yep. It's interesting. He's "so" good that I don't think where he goes to high school matters. Stability would be the best thing for him. Find the place where he can get the best education and the rest will take care of itself. A really good boarding school that will allow him to be around other very successful kids would be a good spot. Somewhere like McCalley in Chatanooga etc. Good sports, great education, great experience.
