Being someone who was involved in this rivalry, South Warren has always been the ones who have something to say, they even trashed a locker room. Of course BG has had players like that too, but it’s very rare. I digress.

South Warren has a great defense as expected and would’ve been even better with Dunn, but my goodness that was the worst play calling I’ve ever seen out of BG.

This is some of the most mediocre play calling I’ve ever seen, especially for an offense with one of the best TEs in the nation.

Tough to gauge how good SW is since they schedule like Alabama, but I’d assume they’re still good as always. As Killowat mentioned, Cooper and Dunn are big factors that could change the outcome of the game. Missing Littlefield will also hurt BG as he’s a great lineman, but I still lean BG as long as the defense keeps performing the way they have. BG 21-14

I expected the score to be worse, although you’re right it never felt like PRP had a chance. I just thought the offensive productivity wasn’t great all. The defense on the other hand was dominant yet again, and this time against much better athletes. PRP didn’t look like a slouch by any means to me, but what do I know?

Schools in the Warren County, BGISD districts is what I meant. Bad wording on my part.

South Warren has had 4 total cases since reopening during late August, I understand the caution. But come on man, these schools have been taking every precaution in the book and have done an outstanding job. Hopefully this doesn’t continue to impact these two school districts, but of course player safety first.

Clear? I’m not sure, but if I was to vote I’d put them at #1. I’m also a little biased. As others said I think that FD is still extremely talented and Owensboro is in contention too. It should be an interesting year!

Difference makers? I’m probably gonna name offf most of the team, there are bright spots everywhere. You could make a case for just about all the guys Offense: O-Line did great for not having much practice and being up against X (minus bad snaps) Jordan Dingle - He’s as good as advertised, and his blocks sprung a lot of screen passes to Dez Wilson, another great reciever Cooper - Stayed poised and his athleticism helped spread the field and allow for amazing play calling Defense: Corners - They did phenomenal and surprised everyone, especially that one handed interception D-Line - They controlled the ground game and were in the back field a LOT Rece Jones - We knew he was good but wow did he come up big with those sacks at the end of the game

Sloppy, but that’s expected. Good game so far in my opinion

I think Cov Cath could easily hang with Male or Trinity. Other than that I don’t see anyone else winning it. My picks would go 1. Male 2. Trinity 3. Cov Cath

I agree, they’re definitely a great defensive team. But, the play calling seems to have taken a step back this game. Reminds me a lot of the FR game, except this defense is much better.

The ridiculously conservative play calling in big games really irritates me. I don’t think that’s the only reason they can’t score, but it’s definitely not helping.

Everyone talks about Mayer but Cov Cath’s QB is playing outstanding.

I’ll take Trinity 35-7, I think it’ll be relatively close at halftime though. Maybe 7-0 or 7-7.

Bowling Green has all the old players show up, who can, corner bakery cookies and hit chocolate. The two times I got to be apart of it were some of the most memorable parts of my highschool football career.

I agree, road playoff games aren’t a huge deal as the team who’s better most likely wins. I just think the system needs a bit of work.

It also makes people not want to play out of state. It also doesn’t factor in the points in the loss, if BG lost to T by 1 or 49 it wouldn’t matter. It’s just not a good system. You’re crippling your teams’ RPI by not playing cupcake teams and putting yourself in games you may or may not win. But if you don’t play those, you aren’t ready for big games.

RPI is flawed in my opinion. Bowling Green played a much tougher schedule than South Oldham, and had to travel 2 hours to them. Even though Bowling Green was clearly the better team last night. South Oldham played a cupcake schedule and had a much higher RPI than Bowling Green. They should've just used Calpreps if they were gonna use a ranking system, but any computer ranking won’t be perfect.

The defense has been great, but the returning, coverage and blocking punts and field goals in big time moments have been huge. Teams try to kick it away from the athletes and it ends up in another athletes hands and gives them great field position. That teamed up with the great defense is what makes the team special, the defense is just as good if not better, but those two together have been a force in both SW games.

I’d say BG’s special teams have been the highlight of the team.
