South Warren 10 Bowling Green 7

Final per the update thread.

Interesting score and final.

South Warren has a great defense as expected and would’ve been even better with Dunn, but my goodness that was the worst play calling I’ve ever seen out of BG.

South blew 3 golden opportunities in the first quarter missed field goal.

Hopkins fumble around the BG 20 and a turnover on downs.

Speaks volumes to both teams defenses.

This was a great game and battle.

Only a few things that can be said.

BG's defense is great.  BG's offense should be absolutely embarrassed.  Whoever was calling the plays for BG should be absolutely embarrassed. That was the worst called game I've seen in a very long time for BG.

Thank goodness this was only the regular season game.

South Warren continues to be one of the mouthiest and classless team in Kentucky.

They are both pretty mouthy and classless to each other. They always have been and always will be. From what I seen as I stated before, SW is the overall better team. Most likely this didn’t determine anything but home field in the playoffs. Definitely a big win for SW with Dunn not even playing.

Completely disagree. It's pretty much one sided. And that's how SW is to pretty much every team.

Purples play close to best maybe?

Call it what it is. Better team won tonight. They’ll see each other again. Until then, congrats South Warren.

Being someone who was involved in this rivalry, South Warren has always been the ones who have something to say, they even trashed a locker room.  Of course BG has had players like that too, but it’s very rare.  I digress.

Coach suggestions on Madden would’ve been a better option than whatever that atrocity was.  It reminded me of Tyson Helton’s first year with fewer screen passes.

Completely agree. Defense gave BG every chance to win the game, but the offense strategy and playcalling were a complete failure.  Nobody is perfect and you have bad games, but the whoever was controlling the offense needs to understand how bad they did and work to fix it. Changes are needed.

As someone that wasn’t there, what was the problem for Bowling Green.

Running straight at a team who’s main strength is run defense.  Along with that, not utilizing the weapons they have on the perimeter, including their monster of a TE. Many other offensive things of course, but overall just not great.  South Warren deserves credit though, their defense is good as it always is.
