2019-2022 Draft Football Realignment
Totally agree! Pretty much what I was hinting at and you just nailed it. Actually looking forward to the new district should be some great football to watch.

2019-2022 Draft Football Realignment
So it’s better to make Christian Drive the extra 15 Miles so that Grayson can have one game shorter than that distance to Ohio County? Grayson’s overall travel is longer by switching districts. Doesn’t make sense imo

How so?

2019-2022 Draft Football Realignment
Don’t mind the move but I question why you would be swapping Grayson and Christian...Grayson is actually closer to Bowling Green then Christian County is. So why the swap?

If you combined programs from two geographically close schools...
This may actually happen as both schools need to be rebuilt. CoHop Broncos sounds good to me, would be a tough out in 6A.

South Warren 28 Bowling Green 21
Wow...Guess BG wasn’t as good as I thought. Definitely didn’t see South putting up 28 pts. Or maybe South is better than advertised. Either way I’m pulling for South to keep pulling the upsets!

#6 South Warren at #2 Bowling Green (5A Quarterfinal)
This! Purple 88 is right on imo. I give South total praise for beating CCHS. They made the plays they had to make. But BG is a totally different monster. You’re can’t have 49yds on the ground and beat BG with Big passes as you did to CCHS. BG’s Offense is going to put too much pressure on South to keep up scoring. Which IMO will put South in predictable situations, A luxury CCHS did not have. I too would like for this to be a tough game that comes down to the whistle, but from what I saw last week I’m picking BG by a lot. Souths got so many kids playing both ways that if and when BG gets ahead I don’t think South will have enough troops to keep it close. South 10 BG 41

South Warren 38 Graves County 12
Christian dominated Barren with a Freshman QB, Langhi and a number of other starters didn’t play, Hoptown is a rivalry game (beat warren east) And you take away a blown coverage and a missed tackle against Graves and they may not have scored

Western Kentucky Power Ranking - 10/29/17 - Week 10 & Post Season Preview Edition
The bolded is where you and I Differ. I believe both teams Defenses where ahead of BG’s at that point in the season which is I why I believe neither Christian nor Mayfield would’ve lost to PRP...That being said, you have seen both Christian and BG play an alike opponent in Owensboro so I’ll always defer to you when it comes to rankings as you do an amazing job. Like you mentioned, I’m just showing some support for the Colonels.

Western Kentucky Power Ranking - 10/29/17 - Week 10 & Post Season Preview Edition
The homer in me says Christian has earned the one spot, but my mind says Mayfield 1 Christian 2 BG 3. I understand the two early tough opponents but when one of those opponents gets Man handled by 3A central leaves something to question. And I’m just not sold on South Warren yet. Playoffs are going to tell the story but for discussion sakes that’s where I’d put BG. Just my opinion.

How BG beats two teams on the year with winning records and remains #1 kinda is little bit mind boggling tho

Class 5A Playoff Bracket
I agree. Our side of the bracket is brutal to say the least. Still hoping for a Colonel vs Colonel semifinal.

With cross bracketing...do you think it’s fair that district one and two don’t get a break from each other? Lol! Wow!

Christian County 21 Graves County 14 (OT)
Not Graves? Was it not Graves that came across the 50 during warmups to celebrate and antagonize Christian? Was it not Graves that came all the way across the field before the coin toss to wave their flag in front of the Christian County players? Yes there was a couple of Christian players who returned the favor after the game on Graves sideline, but does not give the coach from Graves the right to curse at kids...take it up with the head coach. Great game the “kids” played hard on both sides and where helping each other up after plays showing good sportsmanship throughout the game. The adults need some work.

Christian County 48 Owensboro 27
Those of us close to the program new we could have a very nice team. A couple of things mentioned in the pre season threads were depth on Defense and continuity on Offense. Christian is on its 4th o/line coach in as many years, so it's taken some time to iron out the kinks and replace The two Purdue studs. Defensively we've lost two of best defenders in Peyton Laneveve and Antonio Abren. And Christian lost those guys early as in week one. So that depth had to be built sooner than later. Kids are playing hard.

Defenseless Defender
The excessive aggression part of the rule needs to go though. Do you agree? That's a huge gray area where size pays a huge difference
-
Defenseless Defender
Too much interpretation for me to like the rule. If a 200 lbs blocker does everything correct leading with the hands, it's still going to look excessive against a 135lbs defender rather he sees it coming or not.

Western Kentucky Power Ranking - 9/24/17
No animosity here. I like good debates so I just wanted to see where your opinion was coming from. I think Christian is a lot better than they get credit for, mainly because of a less than stellar schedule, and frankly they haven't been waxing anybody. Now that the Preseason is over I think we will see how good Christian is.

Corbin 20 Mayfield 17
It's my understanding that a WR has to be inside the numbers before the start of play then move outside. Don't know how you can hide a player unless motion was used and the Defense thought they were going to play with 10 on the field
-
5A #3 Christian County At 5A #7 Owensboro
I'm picking the Colonels in this one. I think the Big O is finally starting to click and Christians Defense is just to good for Owensboro to be 1 dimensional against. Now the Red Devils usually have a wrinkle or two coming off their bye week. So I think it'll be close early with Christian pulling away late.
-
Christian County 37 Marshall County 6
Nice game for the Colonels coming off an open week. Thought the Offense looked more in synch, don't think the defense looked great this game but made some key stops. Stats per Chris Jung. CCHS FIRST DOWNS 20 Rushing yds 42-224 Passing yards 198 Total yds 422 MCHS First downs 7 Rushing yards 13-28 Passing yards 125 Total yards 153 Christian County was able to get a Running clock with 1:14 left in the 3Q. Marshall score came on an interception return thrown by Freshman QB in 4Q.

Do private schools "entice" kids away from public schools when they play one another?
I think a better question would be "do private schools entice great coaches away from public schools". Theses schools aren't winning without some pretty darn good leadership as well.
