Some schools start as early as the second week in August. So no you don't have three weeks. It get the idea but it's not feasible I'm my humble opinion. What would end up happening is you would lose the week 0 and week one games or you'd have to push the start day back causing games to be played later in DEC. Then that dreaded fall break/bye week gets really tricky as well. I'd like to see the other states that you've mentioned average school start date vs. Kentucky. Because when School used to start towards the later part of August early September, I'd be on par with this suggestion

What you are forgetting is the fact that school starts earlier...Colleges bring their players in before school starts. NFL doesn't have to worry about anything because it's your job lol. How much time do you think coaches need to teach fundamentals and tackling? You can't even put pads on till what, two weeks before school starts and even then you have to have so many days in helmets, and so many days in shells before you can fully suit up. You're talking about going into a game trying to get everything in within the little two hour frame after school? Not to mention the mental exhaust of the kids having to start school...asking for trouble and injuries with some bad football to boot.

Only if this was true. But you don't see the other teachers having there classrooms interrupted to deal with an unruly athlete...It's a double standard however you want to dress it up. Fair or unfair Coaches usually have more of an intimate relationship then General Ed Teachers do. So the Admin uses this to their advantage.

Wrong! Majority of teachers get out of that parking lot before the students do. About 10% of the general staff actually give a care and do what you are suggesting. Oldbird maybe you've been out the system too long because what you're are claiming is not happening. I've never once had an Administrator tell me to call a students science teacher...I'm just saying

Why? Coaches spend more time for less with these kids than anyone including their parents. Think about it. If you're in the school building that's 7 hrs tack on a 2hr practice and that's at least 9hrs out of the day. Not only that but most coaches are responsible for these kids until their guardians come pick them up an hour after practice is over. Kid gets in trouble outside of school, who do they call...Coach. Kids needs a reference for a job, who do they call...Coach. So why would it sadden anyone that these men that spend more and give more to our kids than their own families get some type of leniency?

Crisis management/CPI crisis prevention intervention, are taught and usually followed with a certification. However, anyone ever try to breakup a female altercation? Lol you can throw that training out the window! As far as coach Barber is concerned, I believe he's in tough situation as well as any other larger statue coaches. When you're 6'4 6'5 strong as an ox and you grab a student, it's a little different than my Home Economics teacher weighing in at a smooth 135lbs. It's tough, I mean it takes a lot not to do the job that some of these parents aren't doing when little Johnny is power cussing you while causing harm to others. Just my two cents.

Really so for example Christian County would have an opportunity to be matched up against another region and see Bowling Green at sub state or even At state?

This! But I'd settle for 5A rotating like 6A does....why is it that 6A is the only class that rotates?

Keyron Catlett received the Offensive award for the State team as well. (Also going to WKU) Christian County was definitely represented well.

You seem to know a thing or two so I'll ask you thus question. If I'm living in the the newburg/buechel area and attend T.J or Newburg or Barrett middle schools what high district is that?

I think this was the year for them and S.W took it. I really Like what Clark is doing but I think he's a few more good Assistants away from being able to get over the hump. Johnson, Cager, and Dillard are going to be tough to stop.

Lost some key players imo...mainly the safety, corner, MLB, two d-lineman/olineman...are the ones I think will be hard to replace. But it's Hoptown, speed will never be a issue. I think it's more about what this team needs to add rather then what it is losing.

One of the most Athletic teams in the state that can't make it past the second round...

Didn't your team get smoked by an 8-5 mater Dei and by Mayfield? Beating Owensboro 3rd weak by one touchdown hardly means you're the better team...

Disagree with you because of this, your perception is that the Wr kept teams from loading the box, true...but Jamale kept teams from playing a soft box also. Depending on the criteria, it's hard to say your the best Football player in ky when you go 5-51 against Harlan. And there where at least 4 of those teams that did try to load the box to stop him with little success.

Anybody who has watched BG knows that Carothers is that Man! I don't need stats show me game film...game film against good to great defenses and you'll see this kid making big play after big play! Take the state title game on a crucial 3rd and about 20, swing pass to Juice for a TD! Ask X who the best player they've played is...Yes BG had an prolific passing attack but defenses knew who was in that back field and trust that makes a difference. Best player on the arguably best team gets my vote.

I think Christian County could be higher. Bad loss to Owensboro in a monsoon that really even out the playing field still only gave up 18pts in regulation...played BG better than anyone on their schedule including X. Can't wait to see if this team has really closed that gap or not.
