I think the Reed bros are going to need a lot more help to get to Rupp next year, but I will say they will be a very exciting duo for the next 4 years.

Bracken Co has 1000 pt scorer Blake Reed. More than a 1000 before he’s even in HS.

Tells me the two Coaches likely knew 100% what was going on. But if the neighboring district had not complained, nothing would have been done. IMO this was the Superintendent’s way of trying to keep the school district out of further sanctions.

Flowers is going to make someone a really nice player at the next level. And she still has 2 more years at GRC.

The shooting team doesn’t have to line up anyone. Perhaps BC player walked inside the 3 pt line creating a violation?

It’s exactly why the smaller schools vote for draw. Participation in the Regional is a big thing.

I’m for seeding...But if you honestly cannot see why the small schools vote for the draw, then you don’t understand that the Administrators at those schools are honestly voting to do what’s best for their kids. A first game win and a chance to play in the Regional Tournament may be the highlight of some of those kids HS career.

So the draw-ers technically got what they wanted by not seeding. Could make for a very interesting district finals no matter who wins in the first games.

A few years ago we had a female official who had never called a single game be assigned to our girls JV game. You could tell she was terrified. Later in the year she called one of our Varsity games. Goes to show how short handed the pool for officials were. To her credit she had another game the following year and was much better. Haven’t seen her since so don’t know if she’s still officiating.

IMO a healthy Meredith most definitely could have made up the difference. With her presence the flow of the game could have been entirely different. So just by looking at current pt differential does not indicate how it would have been with her playing both offense and defense.

Yep missed FTs probably was deciding factor. But also thought Refs should have called a foul on the last play.

Highly competitive game. Blue Ridge who has players from all over (7 footer from Russia, couple from NY, PA, etc.) finally wore down Ballard late in the game. Was very impressed with Ballard. They were undersized compared to Blue Ridge but battled all night and hit several threes.
