There are no words for the anguish I feel. With the jersey of Warren Cooper looking down the game was snatched from us by zebras who thought I paid an half hours wage to watch them.

 

They clearly let Mason get away with murder. Heckuva game, disastrously bad officiating.

 

Coach Reed pulled out all the stops and tricks. After the game I got to give him a high 5. That was a special moment. I know he’s already working on next years chess board.

 

We’ll be back. The BC way will be back.

Mason had a terrible shooting night and still found a way to win ugly. Mason missed many Free Throws including four the last minute and only made one three. Second half fouls was Mason 9 Bracken 4 until about the four minute when Bracken started to foul. Sorry Mike.

Good ball game. Officials did not favor Mason or Bracken IMO. AP Perry with a couple of huge blocked shots.

Looks like it’s check mate for the Polar Bears. Congratulations to Mason.

You know. I woke up today. My landlord was yelling at me, and I uh, had quite a headache so I had to yell back. I said “mom, you were there, you saw us lose the game! We had it won!”

 

But then I realized there is much to celebrate in Antarcticsville (Brooksville) we almost beat Mason!

 

It’s been a long time since I could say that. And coach Reed is getting us there!

 

Now I just get to sit back and enjoy my time in Winchester and the sweet 16. Next year, we’ll be taking buses to Rupp!

I think the Reed bros are going to need a lot more help to get to Rupp next year, but I will say they will be a very exciting duo for the next 4 years.

My question is when does The Honcho go into hibernation with the Polar Bears? I assume after he gets back from the Sweet 16 and scouting out the area for next year's predicted trip. Mention of Mr. Cooper takes me back 50 or so years. His wife was my college advisor. Fine people. Remember seeing them at Sweet 16 and some 10th Region tournaments years ago.

Warren Cooper was a great man. Always enjoyed talking with him when we would play in Morehead and at the state tournament. Warren and Jack Fultz from Olive Hill were two guys I always talked to to pick their brains about basketball.

The image of Coach Hinson falling to the floor in despair is seared in my memory forever. In my stupor this morning I failed to recall that game. Sorry for making that mistake. Question my allegiance if you want, but, you’ll find that no one knows the Polar Bears and loves the Polar Bears like me.
