Thomas More (and other D-III schools) should be putting the full court press on Kincaid. I think he can get a great education and have a great career at the D-III level.

Kincaid at CB - Kincaid Island every week Austin Cain - LB - Conner - a natural football player who is always around the ball and loves to hit.

I not only predicted D2 but also predicted he would commit to Fairmont State on/around October 25th. I was attached relentlessly - but have forgiven all those who attacked me because - let's face it - when you can accurately predict the future you are pretty well set for life! In all seriousness - congrats to Cole! Now he focus on playing ball and going out with another state championship.

Not a historic year for Ohio D-I football - I don't see a clearly "great" team from this group (and I understand Colerain is nationally ranked). You really think Central is better than Wayne? I think this could be Wayne's year. I also think LaSalle could be the best team in the state when it's all said and done - if they get Troy it will be a slugfest and I think LaSalle pulls it out.

Of the Boone County schools with grass fields, BCHS's is in the best shape. Conner's is rough and Cooper's is simply a mess. I'm not sure what any of the schools do to maintain the fields - doesn't appear to be a priority. Ryle's field is tremendous - maybe the other schools can find donors to gift new fields. Upgrading athletic facilities are probably #32 on the list of BC school district priorities.

He's a D-III player IMO - and he could play at a good D-III program. I don't see him as big and fast enough to play 1-AA or 2A. It's not intended to be a knock. Chisholm is a great football player -I think the transition for a kid with his measurables is tough. Guys his size are usually "change of pace" backs but he doesn't have the speed to play that role. Great HS football player - if he wants to play big-time college ball I hope he proves me wrong and makes it. He could get a fine education and have a very productive career at a D-III school.

Boy, my thought exactly. Ryle has a history of getting cute with their playcalling. They have been more vanilla - and more successful - this year. Chance to go up 18 and instead you give the ball back to SK and they throw a 98 yard TD pass and are right back in it. My suggestions for future Ryle offensive game plans: - Hand the ball to Chisholm 30 times - Give Morgan 30 pass/run chances - Don't get cute - If in doubt about play call - see above Follow this script and Ryle will do OK

I must have watched a different Ryle/SK game. Ryle deserved to win, and their d-line was very good all night. Chisholm is a great player and Morgan looked the part of a D-I thrower. Ryle is for real. That said, SK had opportunities to throw the ball deep on Ryle - they missed a couple the first half, and stopped looking for those plays the second half. I have to say SK's play calling tonight was a little bizarre. I still like them more with Shearer as the QB and Racke at RB, and that pairing was able to move the ball. Racke struggled throwing the ball the second half, but rather than going with a straight pass/run package with Shearer and Racke, it felt like SK was compelled to instead trick plays that netted nothing. Racke is a great runner who really didn't get enough touches, and Shearer throws a great deep ball but that play wasn't called in the second half. Bottom line - Ryle was the better team tonight - they played better and I think they were coached better.

Shearer will be the key to the game. I think Ryle sells out to stop the run and make SK beat them through the air. I think Shearer comes off the bench to make some big plays for SK. If he does, SK wins. If SK isn't productive enough throwing the ball, Ryle wins.

Chisholm was the difference - put the offense on his shoulders and carried it the second half. The kid would not be denied. Ryle was pass-heavy the first half, but made adjustments at half time, streamlined their play calling, and dominated the LOS the second half. I was also impressed by Ryle's team speed - they got beat over the top a couple times but played sideline-to-sideline very impressively. In a lot of ways this was a replay of the SK game for Conner's offense. Some real success, but a lack of diversity in second half play calling really hurt the Cougars. Armand Jackson can only be expected to break so many tackles play after play. I didn't see Matt Simpson get a touch on offense the second half. Congrats to Ryle - clearly the better team. Hopefully Conner will learn from this game and spread the ball - and the field - a little better in the playoffs.

I predicted CCH 59-35 - CovCath got the TD instead of a FG. This has to be hard for Highlands - it's not just losing, it's the total lack of physicality and competitive edge. CCH put up video game #'s on the ground. Say what you want about the lack of talent, but you simply can't win if you can't tackle, and tackling is as much about desire as talent. Something at Highlands has to give... Congrats to CCH.

CovCath 59-35.

The only thing that will stop CCH from scoring will be the clock running down to 00:00. Given the years of frustration leading up to this game I wouldn't be surprised to see an on-side kick by CCH and a few 2 point conversion attempts... Time to collect on some old debts...

IMO this is a close game at half and halftime adjustments decide the outcome. Conner was in great shape against SK going in to the half - SK's adjustments opened up their running game and shut Conner's offense down in the second half. Hopefully the Conner coaching staff has learned from that game and added a few pages to the playbook. You know Ryle will have a few new scripts to run in the second half.

Some on this board were saying the LaSalle program was on the way down. I think they are still pretty good. Maybe the best team in Cincinnati, top 5 in the entire state of Ohio.

Not being very good this year costing Oak Hills and Sycamore. I'm pulling for Colerain - have to pull for the public schools. I don't know if they have enough offense this year to win it all. Huber Heights Wayne is due.

You can only play 5 at a time and a 32 minute game is hard to run a well-coached team down using depth. CovCath has a lot of players - that may mean more in blowouts than in tight district/region games. Cooper will have ample depth - the lingering question seems to be whether Hendrix plays basketball. If he does, Cooper will have enough talent and #'s to challenge CovCath. My prediction - CovCath playing at home will drive the ball against Cooper to force physical play and get foul calls. No player can score from the bench, and foul trouble, rather than pace of play, is the best way to differentiate talent/depth in a game.
