Covington Catholic vs North Hardin - Predictions

Featured Replies

Difficult to predict as I'm not sure anyone in N. Kentucky is familiar with North Hardin or who they have. Most important thing for CCH is to forget the Collegiate win and focus on the task at hand. If CCH comes to play, I like their chances in this one.

If Cov Cath can play the same way as they did against Collegiate they should have no problems at all with North Hardin. Have seen all three of these teams play at least once and now that they have proven themselves against Collegiate they should move on.

Covington Catholic 4-1

North Hardin is 0-4 against top 10 teams. and has had a bit of an easy run into the final 4. If CC can shut down Collegiate, they should have no problem with North Hardin

Who are the top players for North Hardin? What style do they play? Direct, possession team, etc?

Seniors Micah Linscott (Midfielder 19 goals / 38 assists) and Simeon Packer (Forward with 22 /11) are the players you hear named most - both Javanon '99 I believe. Blair and Rasheed also play at Javanon ('01). Picture of goal by Packer from last year when North Hardin beat JH in post-season (I believe)...922soccer1.jpg

Linscott and Packer are the only two I am familiar with.

Linscott is a great provider but can also put the ball in the net. Packer is more of a scorer.

They did play Collegiate about midway through the season, a 5-1 loss for NH.

They have a very solid center back Jamal Rasheed, number 12. Pretty sure he plays for Javanon. Then they have Micah Linscott, who I believe broke the state record for assists in a career and led the state this year in assists. Also, #3 S. Parker who has at least 20 goals this season and is an offensive threat. Solid team. Seem to not play all that great at times as a team but do have some quality wins. Good luck to both teams. Would like to see a back to back state champ though.

That goal is tasty.

Agree, and props to Sir! for digging into the BGP archives.

Slight divergent of the topic, but pointing out the North Hardin boys play for Javanon (Black, I assume) -- where do the top kids for Daviess Co. play? SKY? Can't be, right?

Seems like everyone agrees on the top players for NH.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like North Hardiin has some quality players. Great thing about this tournament is you get some matchups you would otherwise not see.

They could play across river in Evansville. What's there... SWISA/Sporting IN, maybe it's IN Fire Jr now?

I believe there may be a few that play for Rovers
