Same here! Didn't realize Rowan was down that much for Ashland to be predicted for a running clock! I know it's a down year for Ashland but like stated above, Win the ones your supposed to! Sounds like Ashland is supposed to win this one then!

High school Football in the EAST has been coming on strong the last couple years! Pikeville Bringing the 1A title back to the mountains in 2015 and the powerful play of the Belfry Pirates continue in 3A! Johnson Central playing in the 4A state title game with a threat to return in 2016 gunning for their First State Title! 1A, 3A and 4A appear to have a STRONG possibility of being Mountain State Titles in 2016!

During the 3 year window? Maybe! 2016? No!

No concerns at all for the Panthers! Good lead by mid way of the second Qt and let the JV get some valuable experience!

Morris had a solid night throwing the ball and if he decides to run he's a big strong body to bring down before he grabs 4 or 5 yards! Chris and James Allen with a solid night receiving and great Punt block for J. Allen for JWP to run in for a quick 6! Good job Tigers!

Paintsville had a very easy time in the Frankfort game! For the most part done at the half and Frankfort and Williamsburg Having a battle decided by 1. As long as Paintsville plays how Paintsville is capable of playing it should be a win in a big way for the Tigers! Morris is having a strong season at QB and the O line is proven strong! Extremely athletic receivers with great hands and Pehlps and Spencer productive running the ball! D line is extremely strong with Allen being a FORCE and a quick hard hitting secondary! It looks good for Paintsville this week!

Good point! If Paintsville makes a deep run at a State title where would that put Phelps? With just having a solid season record and Phelps continuing to put up big numbers, would certainly be enough to earn him a spot for strong consideration, HOWEVER, if they make a Deep run, such as a state title (which Paintsville did not obtain last year) one would think it should solidify him at one of the very top couple considered! Just not sure if it hurts Phelps having KY Mr. Football come from the same High school the previous year!

Kent Phelps (Paintsville) RB 11TD's. Just shy of 600yds in 2016 in only 4 games of which he has played less than 3 qt's of football in 3 of the 4 games! Pretty solid!

I agree. Not really talking about the team with the most talent it's the team that had their talent healthy! As far as talent Beechwood, Paintsville and Pikeville had that covered. Just woulda like to have seen how it shook out with the top 3 1A teams all being healthy, however it takes talent , hard work, heart and also a little luck to pull off a state title! Long hard season with many obstacles!

Not much. Would like to have seen someone at Pikeville really doing the leg work to get him looked at! To much talent to not get multiple D1 offers!

Always better to be the "under dog"! If south wins, Then the extra confident statistic post'n fans just get to say their "I told ya so's" but when Central wins.... just saying these are the type of comments that make it a little sweeter!! I heard allot of talk about how much stronger Beechwood was than Pikeville as well! Good thing is, we don't have to wait much longer til they lace em up and get at it and show us that all these statistics are just that, statistics seeing how these teams have squared off against each other no one truly knows how it will shake out! Obviously two VERY capable squads or they wouldn't be be in the finals! Bryce Workman is the most impressive Leader in Johnson Co this season! Kid has battled through injury not allowing it to keep him from achieving his goal and the goal of his teammates! Even though I'm a huge Paintsville Fan, I am an even bigger fan of HEART!! I hope the live feed works well because I'm Really looking forward to watching this one!! GO EAGLES!!
