It's hard to say that it's a complete waste of time! Bracken drew Beechwood first round 2 years ago. Then drew Paintsville first round last year. As VOR stated those same young players then put together an 8-2 season this year! I know for a fact last year when Paintsville sat starters in the 2nd QT Bracken got to get some valuable playoff experience! Although I wasn't at the Bracken/Beechwood game I can only assume they did the same then! Even though the oposing team was heavily favored At the time, Bracken players got to see what could be accomplished if they worked hard enough! That's the benefit that comes out of some of these lopsided first round games!

Somerset could walk to the game and it wouldn't even this one out enough! Somerset walks through this one easily!

Raceland won't have any trouble with Brossart! Rams D will make it a tough night for BB and Davidson along with Walker, Cherry and Mills will pick BB apart!

Bac2369 is a smart man! I do think Paintsville is at least 2 TD's stronger that Raceland in the next Matchup! The only other difference I would have is Paintsville vs Beechwood and Paintsville's size mixed with speed will be too much for the Beechwood Tigers!

Remember the name Tyrese Allen for Paintsville! He's a Jr and a BEAST! He will be in a LOT of conversation in his senior year!

I have no doubt the Rams will do just that Friday night! Was super impressed with John Cherry in the Russell game! Kid gives it 110%. Number 3 had a good game catching the ball as well! Is it Mills?

Same thing last year when the Polar Bears played Paintsville first round. Paintsville sat starters in the second quarter and it was tough for Bracken but then look what a season they've put together this year! You can't tell me playing Beechwood then the next year first round playing Paintsville didn't help these boys grow! I know it was a tough couple years but seems that it's been worth it and made this Bracken County team what it is now! A solid 1A football team! I couldn't have been happier following the Polar Bears season this year!! Great season and hopefully we will see you guys in round 2! Should make for a good one!

Paintsville is a very tough team to pass on! Very athletic D backs with enough speed to cover! If Paris has to rely on the pass we could see multiple pics in this one! Plus Maggard will be seeing pressure like he hasn't experienced all season!

Ashland has to get allot together if they look to make any kind of run! Seems they've gotten a few things worked out, picking up the win against Tates Creek. It's been a tough go this year for the tomcats dropping to 1A Raceland and not even being close at JC. Their defiantly down but With that said Ashland should still have this first round taken care of with a fair amount of ease!

With this Paintsville Defense I don't see Paris putting up 20 plus points! Cherico has taken Paintsville defense to another level! It's taken a few years but it's at a point now that is extremely tuff to move the ball against on the ground or in the air! With pass support it always helps having a younger Phelps (JW) as a defensive back! A monster in Tyrese Allen on the line and Dalton Daniels (in the middle) are constantly applying pressure on the QB! 2015 13-0 Paris had a lot of speed too in a couple players! They just didn't get many opportunities to break free and show it! Looking for this Friday to be more of the same!

Beechwood always seems to be loaded! Crazy how they consistently do what they do! In all honesty were looking at top 4 1A Paintsville & Raceland out of the East Russellville and Beechwood of the West Anything can happen on any given Friday night and with teams like these 4! The amount of talent/speed/athleticism we can only sort it out 1 game at a time on the grid iron! I just hope for the least amount of injuries as possible during the playoffs for All teams! I know first hand what can happen when a Key player is put out during playoffs!

(2)Paintsville's final Defensive Stand in OT to STOP Raceland for the win! Offensive Player- (RB) Kent Phelps (QB) D MO! Defensive Player- Dalton Daniels/Tyrese Allen Hard enough to cut it to 2 much less 1. Special Teams- Brett Bartley! Coach Joe Chirico in a short time as Head Coach has brought this program from almost non existent to a Program with back to back 10-0 seasons and a legit 1A state title threat! The motivation and craftiness he has brought to this program shows what a true talent he has for the game and being able to teach it at a high school level! This is an undefeated 1A PAINTSVILLE TEAM that got that State Semi taste in their mouth last year and only got stronger this year and looking for a deeper run!! Look for them in BG on December 2!
