I think to suggest that a team who won their region is a weak, or as you so eloquently put it, "middle school" opponent is very Skip Bayless of you. That being said, I was incorrect in my initial post on the thread. They defeated only two eventual regional champions. I will add that they also bested 14% of the state's district winners. I'm not saying every district or region is great, but if a team gets to the last two tournaments of the year, they're clearly a formidable opponent.

And Reno was clearly talking about the post where I mentioned that they played no fewer than 3 Regional Champions in the early part of last season’s schedule.

Yes, because three regional winners and at least four regional finalists before January is just a cakewalk through the first part of the season.

Final from Monday Kenner McClelland nets the lone goal to send the Demons to the 32nd District Finals and Regional tournament for the second consecutive season. Interesting tidbit: Williamstown Head Coach, Bill Simpkins was(and is tonight) serving his 3 match suspension for a questionable red card at SK last week. He will return to the sideline in regional competition.

On one hand, I don't get it. On the other, it's not a huge deal.

The Demons FC claims their first Regional crown, behind a hat trick from Tyler Osborne, two goals for Brock Houchens and another from Kenner . McClelland, to go along with yet another Elijah Walters shutout. Walters, Houchens, Osborne, and Grant Houchens were named to the All-Tournament Team. A talented Louisville Collegiate awaits the Demons in the first round of state tournament play scheduled for Thursday in Louisville.

After taking care of business against Cov. Latin, the Demons netted three and Elijah Walters pitched his 4th shutout in five starts to advance to the finals of the 8th Region All A. They play Owen County on Sunday for the crown. Two goals and an assist for Brock Houchens, with Dalton Darlington on the receiving end of the dime.

Grant Houchens scores on a PK in the extra period to lift the Demons to 2-0 in district play and 3-0 overall. Cov Latin is up next on Tuesday before the All-A Wednesday.

The Houchens twins do all the scoring tonight in the victory over the Bearcats with Grant scoring two, and Brock notching the other. Again, this Demons team is TA-LEN-TED.

The Lady Demons take three straight from the Lady Panthers.

In my amateur opinion, yes.

Lot of negativity about kids here, but Treshawn gave my nephew(2028 5* Combo Guard) a pair of his shoes following his 37-point performance against my Demons. So regardless of what is being said about him, or any of the kids mentioned by name on this site really, I have a great deal of respect for a kid who takes the time to inspire/motivate/encourage/acknowledge the next generation of hoopers, when it would be easier and justifiable to bask in the glory of his senior night performance. Regarding the game, congrats to Dixie. Best of luck this season.

Considering we’re talking about the guy who tore his Achilles, then stepped up to the line to knock down his free throws, I think playing is, symbolically anyway, the right thing to do. That said, there’s a lot of guys in the league who looked up to him as a mentor or big brother and will have a difficult time preparing themselves. And that’s to say nothing of his family. Tough call to make.

I’ll never arbitrarily hate on another athlete in my life. I loved giving a few friends a hard time about the Kobe/LeBron debate, but I never anticipated I would be this affected by him. Feels like part of my childhood died today.
