If OCath and DeSales advanced, who would get the home field?

Too much speed on MF's defense that will take away the short/underneath passing game that fuels CC's offense. No one was happier to see Dee Cain graduate than this MF fan. MF by two touchdowns.

I'll be happy to trash talk with you Thanksgiving week if Mayfield and CAL are indeed fortunate enough to hook up. I think OCath and DeSales would agree it's a bit early just yet.

I'm guessing your just fishing. Fine, I'll take the bait. You will find that spouting off about who you're going to beat on an internet forum is far easier than lineing down and going toe to toe with the heart, fortitude, passion, and tougher than nails grit that is Mayfield football. It wouldn't be the first time that another team's 'this is the year' became a stamp on a MF player's ring.

How many rushing yards does the indoor facility have? Have many tackles has the fancy scoreboard made? How many passing yards does all that booster money have? Resources and numbers are great, but you still have to put 11 on the field that can play.

O-line is like a drummer in a band, most people only notice him when he's screwing things up. 10.83 yards per rush on a down night isn't that shabby. With only 1 senior up front, they are still learning and growing (both physically and mentally). This MF o-line is pretty darn good when they decide to bring it and will be just fine throughout the playoffs.

Will there be a stream of this one?

Grats to the Eagles. I didn't see this one coming. Having seen both teams play, I projected this to be an evenly matched encounter with a big play or turnover being the difference. I know MC's RB is hurt. Is there other injuries or problems affecting MC? This thing shouldn't have been this lopsided.

Always fun to running clock Murray. Congrats to the Cards on a great 1st half of the season. Hope the team enjoys their fall break and gets some much needed and well deserved rest.

Something wrong with the formula when a 6-0 team is ranked below a 4-2 team they beat head-to-head. I wouldn't want Liktenhous doing my taxes...

The only thing Murray will do well on that field Fri night will be if/when their band performs at half. Their band is phenomenal. Everything else will be garbage. Pure trash talking, cheap shoting, throwing at knees, late hitting garbage.

Hard to find a group more proud of so little than Murray High.

Great point about the width of the goal posts. I must admit, I failed to consider that.

MF going for 2 and the win against McCracken in OT was the right call. Corbin going for two with 3 minutes left, not so much in my opinion. Whether you are tied or up 1, MF still has time to try to get in fg range. You haven't changed what your defense will need to do. The thing you can't have happen, the risk you can't take, is coming away down 1. Unless you can't trust your kicker, which didn't appear to be a problem, you take that point in that situation.

Being up 14 with a half to play is just not enough cushion to let off the gas in hs football. Float a snap over your punters head, get victimized by a suspect pass interference flag, and boom... your fighting unnecessarily to squeak one out. MF almost seemed bored or disinterested at times during the second half. False starts on freeze plays, dropped 6 yd passes, qb looking to handoff right to a rb that's going left, blown pass coverages, and lazy tackling are just a few examples among many that MF was just not into it mentally. Losing focus against a team as good as Corbin can easily get you beat. I just hope this serves as a lesson learned for my beloved Cardinals.

Way too many mistakes by MF that allowed this thing to be closer than it needed to be. Credit to Corbin for fighting the whole game. Not sure why, but this MF team struggles to finish teams when they have them on the ropes.

Mayfield is on central time. All things football related in the state of KY should be based on Mayfield so 7 Central makes the most sense. Hopefully the Mayfield haters realize I'm being sarcastic.

Someone double check me, but I believe game time is 8 Eastern/7 Central.

As a Mayfield fan, this one makes me nervous. A tremendous Corbin team + 3 consecutive rivalry games + the long travel + the Trajon Bright situation = a very daunting task. 21-17 Mayfield in an absolute war that makes both teams better for having fought it.

It looked to me they called a personal foul/targeting on a PT receiver behind the play. While the receiver with the ball is racing into the end zone with no defenders in sight, a PT receiver back at the 35 yr line crushes a Graves defender that's just jogging along well behind the action. That's my best guess given where they spotted the next play.

I'm not trying to slight his backups, but it was pretty obvious there was something missing up front. That young man is a difference maker on both sides of the ball. I hope he makes it back, he's fun to watch.
