Two top five teams in their respective classes meet in Mayfield. These two have had a couple good games recently. Can Caldwell keep Mayfield from a perfect regular season?

I'm not too familiar with Caldwell this season, but I assume Mayfield should win this game by a couple of TDs???

I just don't think that this is a year for a Caldwell victory....Cardinals by 3 touchdowns

IMO, this game might be good in first half. Think cards win game by 14 or so points. Especially being senior night, I'm guessing.

Caldwell always wanted to beat mayfield really bad because they were in same district and never could. Plus that game was like the championship game because mayfield was usually the last game the Tigers played for many years. Back when only two teams went to playoffs, it was normally mayfield eliminating Caldwell and every other team! But, since the two teams have been in different classes and Caldwell has been playoff relevant the last 6 years, this game hasn't meant as much. Kind of sad. The game needs to be played at middle of the year.

The Ptown Felines will roll into War Memorial Friday night with quite an appetite after having mauled their last 6 victims to death but Morris and his squadron of Cardinals have been busy outfitting their dive bombers for the large Cats and plan to carpet bomb the Tigers from aloft. I think so. Owensboro Catholic in the regional final, DeSales/CAL in the semifinals, both on the road. Any title by Mayfield will certainly be earned.

I think this will be a tough game for Caldwell to win, but they need to compete for 4 quarters to be ready to make a playoff run, which I still think they can do.

I think it will be a close game, with MHS coming out on top.

Too much speed on MF's defense that will take away the short/underneath passing game that fuels CC's offense. No one was happier to see Dee Cain graduate than this MF fan. MF by two touchdowns.

I think last year was their chance....what a game that was!! Luckily my son went with us and he was able to see why you always play til the last whistle.... it's sounds cliche but that game was the definition of its not over til it's over. I don't think MF needs that magic this year tho......I'm taking MF by 2 or 3 TD's

Don't think there is another team that looks more similar to Mayfield than Caldwell Co. in regards to play calling. Most years, however, Mayfield does it better and will again this year too. 42-24
