Just looking at the box scores, NH has had slow offensive starts in all 4 games. That will get them beat real good next week, waiting til the 2nd half to score! Their defense will give them a solid chance next week...Those 4 second half TDs are the most in a half for them this season. So they've got some good momentum offensively. I'm not too sure why you're surprised by the score. NH's offense hadn't exploded yet this season. Their defense only gave up 1 offensive td. That's pretty stout.

I agree...North beat a good (don't let Caldwell's record fool you, they've played 3 solid ballclubs) Caldwell team that was ranked #4 in 3a (that I think would beat DeSales) and is still top 6, and a solid John Hardin squad. Not sure how Ballard beating a good 2a school warrants them or DeSales being above NH. Not sold on Central Hardin, CAL, PRP, or Creek above NH, either. But all will be settled over the next few weeks as DeSales hosts NH and CH & NH play for district seeding. Those will be 2 great games to watch on paper. Wish I could see those! Being in NKY has some great games for me to watch also, though!

I do know the root kid has gotten better and has gotten more confident. They have depth, but it's young, they'll come along.

That's laughable...if Taylor County can be the favorite with two studs, why can't North? Trace is good to go from what I've heard down the way in Hardin Co. With that being said, North will be far from a 2 horse show.

Holmes has some pretty good skill players, but the o line isn't cutting it like in recent years from what is know.

Probably not much more than you, I don't live close by anymore. But from what I can gather, the offense had carried them the past few years while the defense was patchwork. For whatever reason, the defense is big time this year...but the offense lost a lot due to graduation and is going through understandable growing pains to begin a season and find an identity and chemistry, I think they'll be fine, lot of new starters up front I believe. From looking on their roster online, I think 5 of their starters are seniors on d but they've got some good youngins behind em. On o, their 3 top skill players are seniors but they got some pretty decent talent comin up behind em on o, also from what I hear. Should be an interesting next for years for them.
