Elizabethtown scored in the first half and led 6-0 at the break. North Hardin had a huge kickoff return and was driving, before E'town came up with a pick-six to make it 12-0. North Hardin then fumbled and I thought Elizabethtown might move to put it away, but North stopped them and then just dominated the rest of the game.

 

Very impressed with the speed of North Hardin. Good speed and skill everywhere. The defensive lineman, Oxendine, was very impressive as well. E'town has good skill and some size, but not a ton of numbers. I really think North wore them down in the second half. Two very solid teams.

Thanks @gchs_uk9. Wow...down 12-0? I believe that Oxendine kid is only a freshman. He might be the real deal by the time he graduates. If/when NH's offense catches on, lookout 6a...that team keeps finding ways to win, somehow.

It seemed like something started to click with their offense in the second half. I came away impressed.

North loses to South Warren by 3 or more touchdowns next week, not drinking the kool-aid on them yet. Seen both teams play and its not even close. South Warren will dominate

Just looking at the box scores, NH has had slow offensive starts in all 4 games. That will get them beat real good next week, waiting til the 2nd half to score! Their defense will give them a solid chance next week...Those 4 second half TDs are the most in a half for them this season. So they've got some good momentum offensively. I'm not too sure why you're surprised by the score. NH's offense hadn't exploded yet this season. Their defense only gave up 1 offensive td. That's pretty stout.

IIRC, North Hardin has trailed in the second half of EVERY game this season ... and won all four.

 

All four games have been against teams which were ranked in the top 10 of their respective classes by somebody (BGPreps, AP, etc.).

 

That being said, making it 5-for-5 will be a tough, tough task.

That last line is certainly true! Measuring stick game for sure...

This was a strange game. Kick coverage for both teams was terrible. E-Town got a long punt return followed by a nice little pass for its first score, and the pick size for the second. The NH QB missed wide open receivers the entire first half, it really was quite bizarre. E-Town led 12-0 right down to nearly the end of the 3rd quarter, when NH finally punched one in after a long kick return and started doing roll out, short passes. Then E-Town fumbled deep in their territory, and NH scored again (#44 big, strong, slow FB scored both times). From there it just looked like E-Town's defense would have its secondary and backers get run off by receivers, and QB would do roll out scramble, get the corner, and get 15 yards. Lots of penalties. Just a bizarre game.
