It says 17 to 16 on the KHSAA Scoreboard.

No type o greenwood took advantage of souths mistakes. hats off to them they played a great game and best of luck to them this season.

South Warren came back from a 17-0 deficit and had what appeared to be the game tying touchdown with under 3 minutes to go. South had ALL the momentum but Smith elected to go for the 2 point conversion and it failed.

Greenwood recovered the kick and converted a key First Down to kneel it out.

Have to wonder about that decision...

I think South had some key injuries

No denying:

- Greenwood is for real and needs to be taken serious

- South Warren is not at the level they were last year at this time

This result is pretty awesome all the way around.

If you find Kentucky High School Football interesting this was a dreamy outcome.

Probably a question for another thread, but how much better is Bowling Green than South Warren right now.

For all the hooplah in the Pre-Season could South Warren be only the third best team in Bowling Green?

Apparently so.

I don't know what in the world they were doing going for 2 at that point.

Maybe they had a reason, but with all that momentum and shutting out Greenwood in the second half, you gotta think South Warren wins that game if it goes into overtime. I don't know, maybe there was a reason.

Greenwood beats SW and Ocath beats OHS.....Lots of in town bragging rights earned tonight!!! I'm surprised at both but glad to see it.

I heard South Warren lost their two best players during the game tonight. Ryder Litten and CJ Hayes. If they were hurt and couldn't finish the game then this score makes much more sense to me.

Key injuries

CJ Hayes possible separated sholder out before half time

Ryder Litten possible hip flexor out early 3rd quarter

Blick took a hit in the 3rd he's an OL and was out in 3rd qtr

Those hurt, the fumble in the first quarter after on kickoff after greenwoods first TD that led to a field goal and a 10 point deficit early in the game. South also had several penaltieies that hurt them. All that combined put them in a deep hole that they had to claw out of it.

Not taking anything away from greenwood. Greenwood played a near perfect first half then converted and stalled souths drive at the right times.
