I find it interesting that Conner is 15th in the AP poll and Cooper is unranked...yet on here people are dubbing them both top 10 worthy. Just an analysis.

Going off of this rating, I think numbers 7/8-15 are fairly close..

Really, us using the term playoffs is improper. It's really just a seeded district tournament-the first 2 rounds. Followed by the region final in the 3rd round. Looking at it this way would alleviate some of the headache...because the term playoff makes one think that it should be earned "more difficultly" in a sense. It has helped for me, at least.

NH vs. CH and NH vs. DeSales will shake things up a bit here in the next few weeks...

North had their starting qb out and at this point in the season, every team has injuries lol it sure sounds like sand bagging..game might look a bit different with him somewhere on the both sides of the ball (if not at qb). Haha alright man, you can call it "caught some breaks" to get some wins if you want lol I call it forcing some turnovers, but whatever. We all know that had they been on the losing side, or if it was John/Etown who was 4-0 with the same game situations, you wouldn't have agreed with me saying the same thing about them just catching some breaks. I'd sound like a sore loser! Not sure why it pains you so much to say they're good, or even decent. I'll accept decent...because I still think they have to show themselves against some more talented teams.

They can only play the teams who'll play them...I know when I was in the area back in the day, that was a problem then - trying to find teams to play. They played Scott County 2 years straight. From the looks of their recent years schedules, it's not like they've been afraid to play strong teams. So, I'm not sure what your last sentence is supposed to be implying. Also bud, if you look at their recent records, you'll see that NH hasn't dominated anybody, let alone win very many games. Their schedule at the beginning of the season was one of the toughest in the state, everybody except for Meade County (?) was ranked preseason top 10, and most are still ranked. They can't help who wins and loses outside of their games lol don't think this schedule will be a reason they don't go far in the playoffs...

Like I said, I commented on the defense to which you proceeded to offer excuses as to why they fumbled and didn't convert like none of it could be attributed to the defense? lol that's silly PP2020. I agree, the offense wasn't impressive, but I do know their offense isn't at 100% health. I'm sure that can account for some of the underwhelming performance on that side of the ball. Also, preseason, John was touted as a title contender based on their talent. The talent is there...but talent alone doesn't create a team. I know about their program as well.

Rightfully so, for them to not be on your radar...they hadn't done anything in a while. All the teams they've played were ranked top 10 in their respective classes preseason..they lost to Etown last year, lost to Caldwell big last year, and lost to John the year before. So it's not like these are teams they've been beating consistently. But I agree, they have to beat the county teams to reestablish themselves. Bankhead is indeed a special player!

Per their roster, and the names that get the stats online that I read, it appears their offensive skill guys are seniors. But it's the offense that hasn't caught up with the d, thus far. The backup qb, as someone stated on another post, is a sophomore. The defense doesn't get their names out, so that is hard to say. Most of the guys I've read about in the paper via the internet have been seniors, and that is where their strength has been, looking objectively. I'm told they have some solid young talent, though that have gotten clock. Still curious how this season will finish for them. Like most high schools, I'm sure they play multiple d's depending on the offense they play.

Also didn't know JH was reduced to just "some ole 4a school." Records don't tell all. Just like NH 4-0 could very well be 0-4, I'm not ignorant to that. They've played hard every game, all game..

Someone sounds like they possess a little bitterness that NH was able to hold their team to 1 offensive td. Not sure how you weren't impressed by that, bud. But oh well...such is life.

I stand corrected on my assessment of goodin as far as his offer sheet, I was hadn't done my research. But Jackson can be just as dominant on the floor this season as Goodin was, in my humble opinion. To go along with that, he and the new Young kid may be a better tandem. We shall see though, would love to be in the area and catch some of their games this season!
