  1. Wow! I typed that completely wrong....it was 43 foul shots to 10...my fault...long day and it was late when I was typing ....LOL.....it was still bad....man if there were 43 fouls...wow! Oh well, still not a fan of how the officials took soooooo much from coaches, not just in our games (not all) but other games I watched too!
  2. I completely agree with you! Our team played one game with these "evaluation " officials and it was horrible! I mean we all know AAU is to showcase players and not watch them sit because of foul trouble. There was a reason the tournament was so far behind schedule and it was mostly due to these "evaluation " officials. In the one game our team played in, it was overly officiated and I hate to say it was so one sided but our team was called for 43 fouls to only 10 for the other team! And no, we weren't just a jump shotting team, we drive as well! The other problem I saw at KBA was the amount of abuse or just downright disregard toward the officials by coaches and the officials took it! Really need to clean it up a bit. Not a fan of the tournament at all. Good teams and players but atmosphere was something to be desired.
  3. Stots played...hit 4 3's in 1st half...but played sparingly in 2nd half....Melton was unconscious in 2nd half.
  4. Eliminate the 5yd face mask penalty. It's either 15yds or nothing!
  5. The ratio argument comes into play because it is a high school game and when I have personally seen 10 fouls on 1 team to 2 on the other with 3 minutes to go in the game and the team with 10 fouls is winning but it is close it just brings in to question how an official is calling the game. It is a HIGH SCHOOL game and I don't know any high school team that only commits 2 fouls in 13+ minutes. I guess it isn't the ratoo as much as just the lack of fouls on a high school team. High schoolers aren't that clean in playing basketball. Just my opinion.
  6. Scott came back to win this one after trailing the entire game until about 5 min to go in 4th. Jake Ohmer failed to score until the end of the 3rd qtr and founded out with about 1 min to go in game. He finished with 14pts.
  7. Actually, Central did not leave starters in. No starter played in the 4th qtr for Central and the young man that scored 20 for Central is a freshman and that was his first Varsity minutes this year. Dixie played well and Central did not shoot well that game.
  8. I didn't say anything to take away what Pearson has done this season nor did I say Hobbs was a lock down defender by any means. I just mentioned that Hobbs has enough length to make it harder for Pearson to get his shot off. You have to admit that it is harder to shoot over 6'6" than 6'. I have respect for JHHS as an athletic basketball team and I know that it is early in district play. Wouldn't say Hobbs had the game of his life either. He took shots well within the offense and never forced anything or tried to "take over". I just know that as always, the 17th District is probably the toughest in the 5th region. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out. Good luck to all.
  9. This was a tale of 2 halfs. Bruins didn't move the ball well in 1st and shot a dismal 8 for 31 in that half. 2nd half the Bruins shot 59% from the floor. John is very athletic and quick and will continue their improvement throughout the season. It is very early and this was just one game. Pearson didn't shoot well, that is correct but it may have had to do with having Hobbs with length playing defense on him too. My opinion Guillory is the key to JHHS success, the ball should go though his hands often! Good win for the Bruins!
  10. They scored on 4th down...we'll just leave it at that
  11. I believe this in NOT true as region final with McCracken vs CHHS admission was cheaper than playoffs at CHHS and coach's pass still got cardholder in free.
  12. Every other sport has a tourney bracket for district also. Apples and oranges. Football is all its own. If you can't compete on regular season what makes you think you can in playoffs?
  13. Can anyone confirm Young being elegible? Hearing conflicting things in the area. Also, any word on Princewill, I think exchange student, that was supposed to play for John Hardin this season?
  14. 14-0 Etown 10 min left in 1st half
  15. Iler starts on D as well as being a RB in the last 4 games after starting the Mercer County game at QB and splitting the snaps almost 50% with Hobbs in that game. There has been some nicks and bruises on CH this season in every game. Barbour has had a couple of big games and the D has really focused on him as of late, so I'm thinking they are trying to use other weapons. In the wing T you need to establish the fullback. Hobbs is just a sophomore this is true, but looks comfortable for the most part and had a breakout performance against PT rushing for 107yds and a TD while throwing for close to 100yds and had a huge 74yd TD run against Warren South to ignite that comeback. Iler, I believe is important on D more than O- but experience is extremely valuable when it comes to High school football on O. This 3 game stretch is murders row but in the long run will make CH better and have a chance at winning another district title. A couple of this change against JH and CH wins that one by 2 TDs, but alas JH did what was needed to win. Has off to them. BG is on another level and I think is best team in the State! Stay healthy and safe this game is main issue for CH and learn what they need to do to win going forward! Like @k2002j , I love watching the Bruins play every Friday night and will cheer them on from here on out!
  16. The last flag was not a late hit even though after watching it back it should've been, had it been a late hit the INT would have been nullified and CH would've kept the ball. It was unsportsmanlike for the JH player standing over the QB and taunting.
  17. Huh? Just because I added an exclamation point didn't mean that I was calling you out. I was just typing a response. Don't take it as getting on you. I don't assume much btw. I'm sure you know the old adage about assume, bud. Good luck to your team this season and Go Bruins!

  19. HCS is not open enrollment! Enrollment is based on districting and where you live.
  20. I wouldn't say Litten is 75%! He was pretty stable Friday against CH!
  21. That's what I get for voting via my phone!!! Oh well, we all know where my heart is!
  22. Lol.....uuummm. NO...and if it shows I did then it is wrong or something happened. In no way did I vote for BE!
  23. Actually the snaps were almost split equally against Mercer Co. Should be a good game this week but this isn't BE of old...defense is down. Looking for a CHHS win.
