JDEaston Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Central Hardin started the season off on a roll, but have dropped their last two to solid 4A opponents. Can they keep it close against the Purples?
Adopted Purple Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I really don't think they can keep this game close. I think there will be a running clock in the 3rd quarter.
k2002j Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 I know I'm the only one to vote for Central on this poll so far and will probably be the only one at the end of the poll but in life I've learned you'll never do anything unless you to try to believe its possible and give it your all. Laying down and accepting defeat is not an option no matter how high that mountain looks. I choose to be a Bruin fan they don't choose me. I show up to every game I can to support them win or lose. My sons went to Central and both played football. My youngest son graduated 5 years ago and I went then and believed the same. My oldest son graduated 9 years and I went then and believed the same. Nowhere I'd rather be on Friday night win or lose and I love winning but I love the team more and cheering for them. Bowling Green has an excellent program and should be proud of all their accomplishments. Hats off to the Purples. They are one of the top 3 teams in the state. Just always remember to be classy in winning.
Hardin County Preps Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 JDEaston, North Hardin is a 6A program, with that being said. Just hoping Central Hardin can be competitive in this one and keep the injuries to a minimum. No matter how hard I try, I cant come up with a scenario where Central Hardin wins this one. Central Hardin lost 24 Seniors last year and only have 12 Seniors on the roster this year. Their JV and Freshman team are big and talented and have great potential the next few years. This team has a lot of heart but has made too many mistakes at crucial times in the last two games. Concentration on execution and discipline will help this team out as they enter district play after fall break with a showdown looming with North Hardin on October 21st that will probably decide the district.
Purple Nation Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Central fans. If BG were to get a running clock, Coach Wallace pulls the starters. However, when the subs come in they give it their all, which we all agree that they should. They will continue to try to move the ball on the ground or in the air. They may or may not get the clock but we all agree that HS football is about as good as it gets.

That is what makes High School football so great for so many of us on this board. kj doesn't have sons there anymore but still comes out and supports the team. That is awesome! Understand that this is one of BG's best teams we've ever had. So we are pretty excited about it. It may seem as disrespect to Central Hardin to call for a running clock on you. My opinion is that is just the fact of the matter This Year. Plus that fact that we had a running clock last year at your very nice field 42-6 when HCP has just told us you had more senior playing last year. It was a monsoon and you were pretty banged up if I recall, but now you travel to us and we are better than last year IMO. Being classless is not my intention, but stating the facts is. After this game, I wish Central Hardin all the best and hope they beat North and have a nice playoff run. And I think they will do this and march on to play McCracken County again in another 50-50 game. Good Luck!
k2002j Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 No I didn't mean to sound like I though BG was classless or implying it would be a running clock was classless. I meant the opposite BG has always been classy when I was around them and I think that's the best part of being a good program. I've been to some games where that they did not handle being good with any class and that just pushes the wrong buttons on me. I expect the 2nd string players to go hard how else will they ever move up to first string or get any varsity experience. I thought the BG team last year was very good and it worries me this one is better and we are not as good as we were last year. Hope no one has any injuries and yes I wanna beat North Hardin also. Lol. Good luck to all.

No worries here kj! :thumb: Best of luck Friday night and the rest of the way! I just looked at your schedule the rest of the way: Collins Meade Co N Hardin Woodford Co Those are not cupcakes! No injuries is good for all!
Guest Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 I could be way off but I don't think there would be a potential matchup of Central and McCracken in the playoffs this year.
gchs_uk9 Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 I could be way off but I don't think there would be a potential matchup of Central and McCracken in the playoffs this year. They could only meet in the state semifinals. District 1 (McCracken, etc.) is paired with District 3 (Male, Manual, X, PRP, Butler) while District 2 (Central Hardin, etc.) is paired with District 4 (Trinity, Ballard, Eastern, Jtown, Seneca).

Sorry, I thought it was like last year! I got cross-bracketed....:isurrender::isurrender::isurrender:
Guest Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 As a McCracken supporter I have to say I wish it was like last year.
gchs_uk9 Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 As a McCracken supporter I have to say I wish it was like last year. Yeah, I get that. McCracken, if they win District 1, could very well host a four seed in the first round who is ranked higher than they are.
k2002j Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 My money would be on it being a Male vs Trinity for state champ
dognation Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 No disrespect Central Hardin fans but this game won't be remotely close. John Hardin let Central hang around by.... well being John Hardin. I've seen them both; BG is as real as it gets....running clock early third quarter...bank on it.
