All Tell
These games will have a running clock. Male over Daviess Co. Manual over Henderson Co. St. X over Mullenberg Co. Trinity over Ohio Co. Ballard over Meade Co. Central Hardin over Seneca Ryle over Henry Clay Scott Co over Jeffersontown SK over Clark Co Lafayette over Butler These games will not have running clocks. PRP over McCracken Co.(In a show of just how badly the talent is skewed in 6A I believe this 1 vs. 4 game will be the most competitive game in the first round and could go either way. I picked PRP in the prediction thread so I'm going to stay with that.) North Hardin over Eastern Cooper over Bryan Station Conner over Dunbar Madison Central over Campbell Co Tates Creek over Boone Co. (this one could possibly be an RC, if it were at Tates Creek I think it would be) 10 of 16.

KY Outsider
What is the problem? Not every school who fields a football team needs to make the playoffs. Schools with 0 wins or even just a couple wins shouldn't have to go out for 1 more beat down.

Voice of Reason
They can do that now can't they? I am not sure. If that rule does exist, then fans have nothing to complain about. If the teams want to play the game, then let them play it.
Tigerpride94
I like the idea of splitting teams into 4 regions within their class. Top 6 teams in each region make playoffs. 5/6 team plays each other to see who plays #1 seed. Rotate regions paired up against each other every year to mix it up. This would allow 24 teams into playoffs and keep out the worst teams in each region. Just an idea to eliminate the worst matchups in current system. Call the other coach and tell him your team will be forfeiting.
RockinGa
Georgia has one district with 4 teams in it. The team that finishes 4th doesn't automatically make the playoffs. They use a system to determine which district gets a 5th team in. I don't see why Kentucky can't go that route.
Johnny_Utah
There was a survey a few years ago by the KHSAA that asked for AD/head football coach input. If I remember correctly, the (3) options were: - playoff structure remains as-is - top 3 in the district make the playoffs & the 4th can find an 11th game - top 2 in the district make the playoffs & the bottom 2 can find an 11th game. We were one of the schools who were gonna be 3rd or 4th & we voted for the Top 2 in each district to make the playoffs. It got outvoted & the current scenario stood. MrKnowNothing
Problem is this-- the state added to many classes to quickly. Why go from 4 to 6 instead of 5 classes. Next is the districts need to have more teams in them so then you take the top 4 teams but the quality is better.
thsrocks
They can do that now can't they? Subject to huge fine if they forfeit.

Ryle did not put a running clock on HC the first time they played so I do not expect them to put a running clock on them this time.
