  1. Just saw on Twitter that former South Warren Spartan Jacob Lacey is transferring from Notre Dame mid-season. I'm assuming it's because he's not getting much playing time. Just thought I would share it in case anyone is keeping up with it.
  2. Owensboro can definitely beat South Warren, especially if the game is in Rash.
  3. Yes. Tennessee High School football is much better overall than Kentucky High School football. And it's not close. Tennessee even has separate state championship playoffs for private schools and public schools.
  4. That's laughable if anyone does. Woodford wouldn't beat any of those three.
  5. If South Warren plays a harder schedule than Woodford County, then what the heck is Woodford County being ranked as high as they are? Woodford County hasn't played anybody. I'd take South Warren all day long against Woodford this season.
  6. Exactly. Father Ryan is a great team! They'd probably be a top 5 overall team in Kentucky. BG coming in at #4 is very questionable here. The Purples should be at the #2 spot in 5A and I think it's a pretty solid #2 at that.
  7. Owensboro may have something to say about that if that’s how the games line up.
  8. Wow. Great game! BG coaching staff made some on point half time adjustments that won the game. First half offense for Bg was awful. They left three scores off the board simply with bad play or bad playcalling. BG should have been well ahead. BG’s OL did a fantastic job handling South’s defensive line. I wasn’t sure how that was going to go. South OL controlled the line of scrimmage which I thought would happen. They were able to drive the ball right down the field on those long, wearing down drives. BUT BG handled it well. I was surprised that South’s defense wasn’t better. Also that South didn’t have a deeper playbook for run plays. BG was a lot more battle tested and that definitely made a difference. I feel like BG turned a corner after last week and this week proved it. The Purples were even missing one of their best players and still came out on top. I’m excited to see what this team can do in the playoffs.
  9. I don’t see BG or South Warren having enough to win state. It would surprise me if either one even made the championship game. if Fredrick Douglas doesn’t win it this year then someone over there needs to take a serious look at the program.
  10. Greenwood?? Give me a break. Six games into the season and they haven’t even played a 5A school yet nor a 6A. I’ll take Owensboro all day over the Gators.
  11. You must call into Paul Finebaum or Jim Rome all the time. Which is fine, that’s just not me. I just keep it real and tell it like it is.
  12. I don’t know what smack talk you are referring to. I’m just honest and tell it like it is.
  13. Bowling Green High School has won 6 out of the last 10 state titles in 5A just on it's own.
  14. So glad the judge through this lawsuit out. Also glad Trinity didn’t settle. That’s what most of these lawsuits count on is a settlement. More need to fight these and they will stop.
  15. Anderson is a beast!!! I hope BG is able to get some subs in and out cause they are going to attack him and try to wear him down. it’s just hard cause I don’t know how good South Warren actually is cause of their schedule. If Bg wins by two score it wouldn’t shock me. But it wouldn’t shock if BG loses by two score too. I would expect a packed house at BG and that will be interesting. The hill and grassy area pretty much gone. And there are nice visitor’s seating area over there now. So all of BG fans will be packed on the home side with the South fans all on the other.
  16. This game is a hard one to predict. BG has face Boyle County which is better than South Warren and BG has faced Father Ryan which is better than South Warren. BG lost at home to Boyle County by two touchdowns. BG made some mistakes, but Boyle County is a better team than BG was at that time. BG went on the road and beat a dang good Father Ryan team on Homecoming. But Father Ryan controlled the game the whole time except at the end and BG needed a tricky two-point play to win. That was a heck of a win for BG. The Purples are definitely more battle tested. BG seems to just now hitting its stride. I think other than turnovers, this game comes down to two things: 1. Can BG consistently hit big plays on offense? 2. Is South Warren able to control the line scrimmage and have great success running the ball? I just don't know the answer. BG's defense has some issues and if South's OL is tough as they usually are, it could be problematic for BG. If BG can score and have the big play ability than South could be in trouble. I know South didn't look very good against 4A Central, but my guess is were holding a lot back. And I don't blame them. They've also had two weeks to prepare for this game with that easy schedule and BG has had to focus week to week. I'm going to pick. South 28 BG 17
  17. We are 6 games into the season and Greenwood has yet to even play a 5A or 6A school.
  18. Geez. Can the Purples fan not get a day to enjoy a heck of a win from Friday night? Lol. Last night changes things. The Purples looked like a different team ( both good and bad) I’ll have to think about it before I give my prediction.
  19. That’s who I am picking. This is the year for them.
  20. Man what’s a game! Just back from Father Ryan. The Purples needed this one. They fought and fought and found a way to make it happen. The offense has officially arrived for this BG team. The defense needs to start back at square one. Duece Bailey really shined tonight. He had some receivers make some good catches too and this is what needs to happen to be successful. The BG OL was tested as Bailey was on the run a lot tonight. But he kept making plays. at first I thought this game was going the way I predicted, a two score Father Ryan win. But the Purples hung in there. Great call to go for two. Easy to say after it was successful, but I was saying even before they decided to do it. Win or lose, it would have been the correct call. BG’s defense was toast by this point. Also awesome play to execute. Father Ryan is a dang good deal. Reminded me a lot of Boyle County. It was also Father Ryan’s Homecoming. Oops. WHAT A GAME.
  21. Sheesh. Complete blown series there with BG on the one foot line. No touchdown and a blocked field goal.
  22. The whole stadium. Now the campus is a different story. It’s like a small college. $18,000 a year to attend.
