I think it’s finally their year. The rest of 5A is down a bit and FD seems to be pretty good. If they don’t win it this year then someone needs to take a long look at the management of the program.

Hate the regular season ended this way for the Purples. BUT coach Spader and the team did a phenomenal job of improving each week all season. With that brutal schedule and as young as this BG team is, 8-2 is a great record. Before the season started I thought there were three guaranteed losses with a 4th definitely a possibility. So great job by all the Purples. Winning three or four playoffs games is not out reach depending if BG plays as well as it can.

BG starters were kept in the game way too long too. and Bg looked like they didn’t want to be there almost at the start of the game. Refs were awful and were an embarrassment. St. X was the better team so I’m not saying that, but it was such an awful performance by them. BG’s punter basically gets tackled, gets injured with the ref just standing there and he didn’t call a thing.

Not totally surprising to me. BG was just outmatched. I thought it would be a little closer though. The BG offense just couldn’t do anything. Just a poor performance all around on offense and special teams, IMO. Bad thing is two fairly big injuries both toward the end of the game. Hope they aren’t serious, but haven’t gotten an update yet.

Definitely both. But probably more of South just being down this year. And the Spartans may still be suffering from some injuries. But Logan County is not a team that can just be run over by everybody anymore either.

I’ve never seen refs call so many holding calls in game plus with most of them being BS.

Pretty poor performance from BG in the first half. BG’s defense actually doing better than I thought, but the Bg offense is doing way worse than I thought. They just look completely off. St. X is definitely better.

St. X is not unbeatable, but it’s definitely an uphill climb for BG to be able to win. I think BG is still a little young, lacking at some depth and just isn’t good enough up front to beat St. X unless the Tigers make some big mistakes. St. X 27 BG 10

Poor Christian County. They almost look like a middle school team. Also there is only about 50 people sitting on their side of the stadium and that’s including the band.

I've heard someone wearing a cape caused all those turnovers single-handedly just by looking. And I don't see how ANY team could be even or better with someone like that on the roster.

This is a very true statement. I am going to be interested to see how the early rounds of the playoffs shake out.

Oh yeah. Just give Greenwood the state title now and cancel the playoffs.

Good for the Gators. This definitely surprised me. South has now lost two games to Greenwood in its history. Does anyone know if South was Missing any key players or was Greenwood able to beat them full strength?
