  1. Worst home side I’ve ever seen. I am serious. It might hold 30 people. Bowling Green’s new stadium is much nicer.
  2. One of those schools has played Owensboro on a fairly regular basis during the regular season both home and away. The other school has never played Owensboro during the regular season, nor would I expect them to even try.
  3. I know Father Ryan beat Brentwood, who beat Blackman. That says a lot on its own.
  4. I still say Father Ryan is just going to be too much for BG. I think it will be a lot like the Boyle County game. BG is just not strong enough. Father Ryan 28 Bowling Green 14
  5. I’ve seen some say beating up on bad teams is a good reason to be ranked high. I don’t get the philosophy. But it certainly skews some people’s opinions.
  6. Here’s the AP poll. I’m shocked BG is in at #2. I don’t think that’s accurate.
  7. Well the Hendersonville, TN team that South played and lost to is .500. They are 2-2.
  8. Yeah SW is not the 14th best team in 5A and I think your ranking is probably right. BUT the RPI does reflect South Warren’s schedule.
  9. I see FD winning by several td’s. I think Scott County’s offense isn’t strong enough and just won’t be able to keep up.
  10. I love this series and think it’s really positive for both teams. I hope it continues. Father Ryan plays a brutal schedule, so they probably don’t get the respect they deserve. I think both of these teams are fairly close to each other this year. However, I just think BG just isn’t strong enough. I give Father Ryan a two touchdown win.
  11. Just gotta keep the facts in line. Some teams are given a lot of credit for beating bad teams.
  12. There is no data or gameplay to support that. To say “it’s not impossible” or “need to counties to improve” for BG to beat south Warren is indicating South Warren is a lot better than BG. There is absolutely nothing from this years teams to support that conclusion. Running up scores on bad or a lot lesser teams is meaningless.
  13. What are you basing that South Warren comment on? South is 2-2 with wins over a bad Highlands teams and a 2-2 3A Paducah Tilghman team. Both of those wins were in Bowling Green too. So to say BG is far behind South and need get better just to compete with South Warren is not based on anything factual. The truth is we really don’t know, but I’d guess right now anyway BG ain’t that far behind. We will see how the season progresses.
  14. I think that’s exactly what it means Tilghman is just not very good. I mean it was pretty easy to spot. Schedules matter. Well……..for some guess.
  15. Bowling Green’s offense was better than I thought it would. In fact, if they hadn’t turned the ball over or just flat out drop some balls, might have a different outcome. Defense was a little different than I thought. Boyle County had great success running the ball and broke some big runs right up the middle. I don’t know if it was just a bad scheme or if BG’s players were just completely outmatched up front. But different from last year where Boyle just threw all over them. BG is still young and trying to find their identity, but Purples hung in there.
  16. No surprise here. I had it 30-7. Pretty easy to see tilghman just wasn’t going to be a challenge.
  17. For some reason some schools like the really easy schedules to pad the win column and get the positive press. Also gets people on message boards bragging about win totals and such. I give them major props for coming out of the gate scheduling St. X. But playing good teams back to back to back weeks in the regular season really helps. And if it’s a good game attendance should be decent. Yeah, not as good as an in county school, but still.
