  1. Due to the number of “unhealthy” players, Lafayette will cancel the game against FD and forfeit.
  2. I mean I think the schools get money from whoever is doing the streaming. And most of the broadcaster’s get sponsorships to pay for It, so it’s free to fans. At least in a lot of cases.
  3. A season ticket for Bowling Green is $45 with the fees. They have 5 home games those tickets can be used for. So that’s $9 a game. I think single game tickets are $8, plus the fees so I believe it evens out. No discount for buying a season ticket. No big deal for me. I look at it as donation. But I can where if you have two or three kids you wanna take every week it can add up. I know people will say it’s a lot cheaper than a movie, but I don’t think that’s an apples to apples comparison.
  4. That’s should say because BG’s defense is not as good.
  5. I’m not sure really what to expect here. Is PRP as good as they seem or is it bad teams? BG played an awful McCracken County team. But it seems that PRP has some athletes and having that type of QB makes me nervous sense BG’s isn’t as good. I think their wide receivers could pose some Problems. BG is still trying to find its way. I think I got to pick PRP to win this one. But I wouldn’t be surprised if BG wins.
  6. Someone made a comment about their win totals over the years.
  7. I think it’s a great game. And I’d like to see them venture out and play in state schools like St. X,Male, Fredrick Douglas, Lexington Catholic, Cov. Cath, Trinity, Owensboro, Boyle County, and or some more Louisville teams.
  8. I don’t think anyone is arguing to the contrary.
  9. When the majority of your opponents are the non powerhouse 3A and 4A schools you can get that kind of record. Scheduling wins is not hard.
  10. Ha! I’m really not kidding though. I really think they won’t sign a new contract once this one is up. And it may be up, don’t know how long they signed for.
  11. Spartans lose a close one. South jumped out to a 10-0 to start the game, but I believe were trailing 14-10 at the half. I think there were some back and forth lead changes. I know South had the ball with about 3 minutes left, but failed to score to take the lead. Second year in a row Hendersonville has gotten the better of South Warren. I would look for South to remove them from the schedule as soon as the contract is up.
  12. The turmoil at MC has really brought the program down. From what I’m hearing the hope is things need to cool down and some time needs to given to get things organized. It’s hard to believe cause that’s a big school with top notch facilities.
  13. Just a quick update. BG 21-0 MC 0. 1 minute left in first quarter. BG is just a lot better and MC isn’t very good. no surprises here.
  14. I’m actually good with that. I don’t carry cash most of the time. But usually if I’m going to a high school game I’ll bring some just cause you never know.
  15. I know some schools are giving a sports pass to all students either for free and really cheap.
  16. Looks like Hendersonville is not ranked or receiving votes in the Tennessean Poll if I’m reading correctly. Mira hard to judge anything after that last game since Highlands was so bad. And I don’t know much about the public divisions in Tennessee. Hendersonville lost 42-0 to Oakland last week. They are in Murfreesboro I believe.
  17. @Purple88 summed it up pretty well. It’s easier for the schools, don’t have to worry about cash on site, and it’s easier to track. I buy a season pass every year. I just look at it as a donation. I go to all the games unless I’m sick or something. But even if I didn’t, I would buy the season ticket just as a donation. I do wish the season ticket would be a little bit cheaper than the individual ticket, but it’s not a huge deal. Bowling Green has five actual home games and the season pass was $45 including the fees. So that’s $9 a ticket.
  18. This is interesting. I know a lot of high school football attendees are older people. They probably would have an issue with this. I know I have to download the app and buy the tickets for several older people because they don’t know how. it’s probably a marginal amount, but all these reasons add up somewhat. I just think the interest in high school sports is dropping for more the most part unfortunately.
  19. I know a lot of AD’s think it does. I guess they have the attendance numbers so they may have a better understanding with data. Or it could just be based on fear. I know programs have starting charging the broadcaster money to stream the games. Usually the broadcaster will in turn sell sponsorship ads to cover the cost. Some of the bigger programs have entered into “exclusive contracts” allowing only one broadcaster to stream video. Some end up charge of money to view the stream. However they do it the school gets $ out of the deal. I also think schools are making things harder on fans with these new stadiums. Most of them are not nearly as fan friendly as the older stadiums..
  20. I say the more competitive teams the better. It’s basically been the Bowling Green, South Warren and Covington Catholic show for so long in 5A. I mean obviously I’m good if BG wins it every year. I’d like to see more teams in the mix besides those and add in Owensboro and Fredrick Douglas. i'd like to see more of these playoff games be competitive too.
  21. Give me a break. Gibson Southern is a 3A school in a 6 class system. And a public school at that. And they lost to Hendersonville which lost 4 games that year who is a D-1 class 6A school in the public division in THSAA.
  22. Hopefully this can be used as chance to run some different plays and as way to build more confidence. There's been a lot of turmoil around MC in recent years from what I've heard from some people over there. I'm not sure what's going on but MC should be a lot better than they have been. So maybe it will just take a little while to rebuild the program. Sounds like they are really down this year.
  23. I’m not a Highlands expert nor a fan, but I was at the game yesterday. If a team I rooted for player the way Highlands did yesterday, I would be very worried about the entire program.
